you are observing Doctor Stohl talking to Mrs Sinclair and you are thinking it might be more than just the flu. You are visibly concerned.
"(Y/N) are you alright?" April asks
"Not really," you reply a little distracted
"It's something for me, Stan and Will to deal with though,"
"ok let me know if I can help," April replies
"I will," you say confidently but your confidence is soon shattered
"(Y/N) we have incoming" Maggie announces
A minute later the paramedics have arrived. The patient has the same symptoms as Mrs Sinclair
"Talk to me," you say beating Maggie to it
"trauma room 2," Maggie says
"Twenty-five-year-old male presented with flu symptoms," the paramedic replies
Thirty seconds later you and the paramedics have gotten the man comfortable and they have left
"How long have you been experiencing symptoms?" you ask so you can get to the bottom of things
"Three days, my doctor told me I had to get to the hospital immediately," he replies
"My name is Grant by the way," the man manages to say before he starts violently coughing which further reinforces your belief that it might not be the flu
"Sorry about that," Grant has stopped coughing
"April can I get a full blood workup and if possible can we quarantine trauma 2?" you ask
"What do you mean by quarantine?" Grant asks with a really concerned look
"Don't worry I'm just taking precautions in case you have anything contagious," you reply in the most soothing tone possible
"Do I have anything contagious?" he responds
"Well the blood work will tell us but like I said I am taking precautions," you reply
"Ok," Grant responds a little more relaxed
"Well I will come back soon and I will tell you if you have to flu or if my suspicion is correct," you remark as you leave
Thirty minutes and two patients later you are sitting at the cafeteria tables having a much-needed sandwich you are still concerned
"(Y/N) are alright? because you look really worried," Will asks as he sits down next to you
"Have you got Mrs Sinclair's results back?" you ask as you take a bite out of your sandwich
"Yes, she has a severe strain on the of the flu why do you ask?" Will responds
"Because I have a patient presenting with the same symptoms and I'm currently waiting for his results," you reply swallowing your food
"anyway, when are you thinking of moving in," Will responds by changing the subject
"when I finish packing not that I have much in the first place," you reply glad that he has changed the subject
"so you are moving in with me?" Will remarks in utter surprise
"yes I made up my mind when I was dealing with one of my other patients," you remark
