First city

You, squidy and shadow arive in the first city, also home to the ground gym leader.

Shadow: Oh, i remeber this gym, he uses ground and rock types

Squidy: as if we didnt know, hes the first gym leader

You: yeah, and with frokie i think ill do great, we have a type advantage

Squidy: good luck then, but what if frokie faints, vulpix wont do well as rock is super effective against fire types

You: thats why im catching another pokemon squidy

Shadow was looking at his pokedex

Shadow: then the best spot will be just outside the city, evergreen road, or route 3 if you want to call it that

You: great, lets go then!

Squidy ran off, shadow followed after her, you walked after the two. Shadow was picking some oran berries when you caught up

You: wheres squidy?

Shadow: saw a grass type and went after it

You sighed and walked after squidy, shadow in toe. Squidy was in the middle of a pokemon battle with a pansage. Scree leveled up, now being Lv. 14

Shadow: how many battles have you had

Squidy: 5 grass types

Shadow: Youve been here for 2 minutes?!

Squidy: felt like longer

A pichu jumped down from a tree, obviously after a fallen berry. You all look at it

???: pichu, come back

A kid jumped down from the same tree and picked pichu up, he was a yellow inkling but his hair was covered by a red and blue hat, he looked at you

Trainer: oh sorry about this, pichu loves his food

The trainers pichu jumped onto his hat, the trainer laughed

Squidy: hey do you want to fight?

Trainer: i have three but there all low level

He looked down for a second

Trainer: well i guess it wouldnt hurt to have one, sure

Trainer won

The trainer knelt down next to his pichu and gave it a berry, curing its posion before walking over to scree and giving scree a berry, curing scree's paralysis, Scree tackle the trainer and started nuzzling him to say thank you before getting picked up by squidy, the trainer got up

Trainer: That was a great battle, whats your names? If we meet again maybe we could battle?

Squidy: Im squidy and thats shadow

Shadow waved, you introduced yourself to the trainer

Trainer: nice to meet you all, im lucas

You all headed back to the pokemon center to sort out your pokemon
