Chapter 16

Mei packed her things as she put her paperwork inside her bag. She looked out the window and sighed deeply
She didn't came today. Did something bad happen?
Mei clenched her fists tightly and looked down
Damnit...I'm so worried...did she really have to see her grandmother?
"Meimei?" Himeko asked as she knocked at her classroom door
"Oh Himeko why are you here?" Mei asked
"I only came to visit you and maybe hang with you for a bit. Are you done with your work?" Himeko asked
"Yes..." Mei said as she closed her bag then headed out the door with Himeko. The two of them walked out and Mei spotted the man again
Ugh this asshole again?
"What do you want...Tayo?" Mei asked as she glared at him
"M-mei I want another chance. I know the first time I screwed up but uhm...uh maybe we-"
"I've already told you I don't want to be with you anymore. Fuck off" Mei said sternly walking past him with Himeko. Tayo just clenched his fists tightly and turned to grab her arm but Himeko blocked his path
"Leave her alone" Himeko said as she glared at him. Tayo just stopped and backed up a bit
"Let's go Himeko" Mei said as she kept walking away
"Yes Meimei" Himeko said as she smiled and walked beside them
"Does he still bother you?" Himeko asked
"Sometimes but hopefully he stops...he's just an asshole" Mei said
"Don't worry Meimei. If he ever bothers you I'll hurt him" Himeko said
"Thanks but there is no need for violence..." Mei said and stopped as she stared at the street
"Uhm...Meimei? You okay?" Himeko asked
"Yes it's just...well one of my students didn't came today and I'm worried. I wonder if she's okay. Maybe I'll go to her apartment and check up on her" Mei said and crossed the street
"H-huh? Hey wait up!" Himeko said and ran after her
"Himeko you can go back home. I'm fine on my own" Mei said
"B-but Meimei your grandfather might be worried sick" Himeko said
"I've already told him that I'm fine on my own. I'm not a little girl anymore" Mei said
"But why do you want to check up on her?" Himeko asked
"Because I'm worried..." Mei said and arrived at the building
This is the place...hopefully she's doing okay
She entered inside and headed to the apartment room. She knocked on the door and ringed the doorbell but no answer. Mei's body trembled a bit and felt this worried feeling inside
Why isn't she answering?! Is she really not here!? It's late isn't it!?
"Meimei don't worry. She's a young girl. You know all those young delinquents decide to skip school and go hang out with their friends" Himeko said
"But Yuzu is not like that...she isn't that kind of student" Mei said
"You barely know her" Himeko said
"Yes but...nevermind. I guess I'm just overacting..." Mei said and headed out the building with Himeko. A car pulled up and the window went down revealing Mei's driver
"Ma'am your grandfather ordered me to bring you home" The driver said
"Yes sir. Himeko do you need a ride?" Mei asked
"Hehe sure Meimei" Himeko said as she smiled. The driver got out then opened the door for the ladies. Himeko got in and Mei was about to get in until she heard a familiar voice nearby
"Matsuri I've already told you not to cling onto me that hard!" Yuzu said
"Awww come on Onee-chan" Matsuri said
"Hehe little Matsuri hasn't changed. That's cute" Shai giggled
"I'm not cute!" Matsuri said as her face redden
"Awww look at her face. She's embarrassed" Yuzu giggled
"N-no I'm not!" Matsuri said and looked away. Yuzu just smiled and noticed the car up ahead and her teacher. Her eyes widen and felt her heart beat fast
H-huh?! Why is she here!? Oh shit am I in trouble or something?! Did I forget to contact her and tell her about my situation?
Mei backed up from the car and walked up to Yuzu
"Okogi why didn't you came to school today?" Mei asked in her stern voice
"I'm sorry ma'am. It's just my grandmother collapsed yesterday night at her work and I stayed with her at the hospital. I completely forgot about school and well...I decided to find a part time job because my grandmother still needs time to recover" Yuzu said as she bowed her head down
Hm? So it was true?
"I understand. I came here to hand you your homework. Hopefully you'll be able to finish it. It's the same lesson that we learned yesterday" Mei said as she looked through her bag and pulled out her homework then handed her the paper
"Yes ma'am" Yuzu said and took the paper
"And I guess you were with your friends..." Mei said
"A-ah yes ma'am. They came to visit me at the cafe" Yuzu said
"Good afternoon ma'am" Shai said and bowed down. Yuzu looked at Matsuri and grabbed her head making her bow down
"Be respectful" Yuzu whispered as she leaned in
"Ugh h-hi ma'am" Matsuri said and Yuzu let go of her
"Don't mind her hehe. She's just a kid" Yuzu said and giggled. Matsuri just glared at her for a moment and rolled her eyes
"I see. Well I hope your grandmother feels better soon and if you need any help on anything I would gladly help" Mei said as she smiled a bit. Yuzu blushed deeply and nodded
"O-okay Mei-I mean! Sensei! I'm sorry!" Yuzu exclaimed and bowed down. Yuzu blushed feeling a pat on her head and lifted her head up then blushed deeply as Mei patted her head
"No need to be sorry...Yuzu" Mei said. Yuzu's heart skipped a beat as she heard her say her name using her beautiful voice
"A-alright" Yuzu said and smiled. Mei blushed and turned around to leave
"I hope I see you at school tomorrow" Mei said
"Don't worry Mei. I'll definitely be at school tomorrow" Yuzu said with her bright smile. Mei looked at her and nodded then got inside the car. Shai noticed Yuzu's face again and her smile
Is she...no but...wait is she actually? No no Shai...no what am I saying?
"A-anyways hehe I guess I'll get going. I have to visit grandma. Shai you coming?" Yuzu asked
"Yep!" Shai said and smiled
"Hey Matsuri wanna come?" Yuzu asked
"No thanks. I'll head home or else my grandparents will get worried sick again" Matsuri said
"Oh okay and have fun at you new house. Hopefully your wounds heal soon" Yuzu said and caressed her cheek softly. Matsuri blushed and nodded
"Yeah it will soon" Matsuri said
"Awww goodbye Matsuri-chan. Hopefully we get to hang out again. Maybe during the weekend" Shai said and hugged Matsuri
"Sure. I'm free this weekend. We can hang out right Yuzu-chan?" Matsuri asked
"Hehe sure. I'd love to hang with my besties" Yuzu said and smiled
"That's great. You know Phila right? She said she'll bring her friends to hang out with" Shai said
"Sure" Yuzu said
"Alright then. I'd better get going. Bye Onee-chans!" Matsuri said and left running heading home
"Bye Matsuri-chan!' Shai said
"Stay safe! Alright let's go" Yuzu said as she lead the way and Shai followed her to the hospital.

Mei was in her seat and kept staring out the window. Her mind was completely focused on Yuzu and her smile. Mei felt her heart beat and felt this tingling sensation inside her. She smiled slightly and blushed a bit. Himeko stared at her for a moment noticing her odd behavior
"Hey Meimei..." Himeko said
"Hm? Yes Himeko?" Mei asked as she turned to look at her
"Back there...with the delinquent-"
"Please stop calling her delinquent" Mei said sternly with a kinda pissed off look which scared Himeko.
"I-I'm sorry but...Meimei it's just well why do you care about her?" Himeko asked
"I care for my students" Mei said
"Well yeah but I've never seen you care so much for a student. You even went to her place to look for her. You looked worried and scared back there at those apartments..." Himeko said
"Because I was worried alright?" Mei said raising her voice a bit which warned Himeko to shut up or else she'll explode and blurt out somethings. Himeko stayed silent during the whole ride home. The driver stopped by her place and Himeko got off. Mei just gave her one final glare before leaving. Himeko whimpered slightly and clenched her fists tightly
That delinquent...she's the reason for this! Not to worry...tomorrow I'll make a move and Meimei will be mine

Meanwhile in the car Mei was still thinking about Yuzu. She groaned as she couldn't get her mind off of her no matter what. The driver stopped by the Aihara mansion and got out of the car then opened the car door. Mei got out of the car and walked straight to the mansion. Once she got inside the mansion she saw her grandfather. Her grandfather looked at her and gave her a cold glare
"Mei...where the hell have you been?" He asked in his cold and stern tone. Mei just looked back at him and sighed
"I was just speaking to one of my students. That's all" Mei said as she headed her way upstairs
"Are you talking about that blonde haired girl?" Her grandfather asked. Mei stopped and trembled a bit as she gripped onto her bag
"That's none of your business..." Mei said
"I am your grandfather. Of course it's my business" Her grandfather said
"She is just a student of mine alright? She's really smart and can accomplish anything" Mei said
"Hm? Back there at the Academy this morning...you talked to that other Okogi. Am I right?" Her grandfather asked
"Yes..." Mei said
"I guess they're relatives. Anyways...you were worried back there. I could tell since it was written all over your face..." Her grandfather said. Mei stood there in silent and clenched her fists tightly
"Mei...please tell you don't plan on fucking around with girls. I thought I already told you that when I first caught you. I can't believe my own granddaughter would do such disgusting and horrify thing...but that was 6 years ago and now you're a full grown woman. You should be thinking about your fiance...you've decided to inherit the Academy. There's no turning back now..." Her grandfather said
"I know grandfather" Mei said and gritted her teeth
"Just please stop focusing so much on that girl and start focusing on your future" Her grandfather said
"Yes grandfather" Mei said looking down
"Why care for such an odd student..." Her grandfather mumbled as Mei walked upstairs heading straight to her room. Her grandfather looked up and stood up as he walked to the driver that was outside guarding the mansion
"Sir? Do you need anything?" The driver asked
"Yes. I need you to keep an eye out for Mei at the Academy. I don't want her to fuck around with any girls especially that blonde girl...I have a feeling those two are getting a bit too friendly with each other" The old man said
"Yes sir" The driver said. Mei just dropped her bag and walked to the bed then plopped on the bed. She groaned and laid on her back then stared at the ceiling. She blushed deeply as she though of the blonde haired girl once again. She grabbed a pillow and covered her face
Shit...this is bad...this is really bad. I need to get her out of my mind...but...ugh it's so hard. This can't be love...no...I can't accept it...I just can't...
Mei gripped the pillow tightly and sighed deeply. She looked out the window and smiled a bit
"That Yuzu girl...heh...she's so adorable..." Mei whispered and felt her heart beat loudly in her quiet room. She sighed deeply and buried her face on the pillow
Is it really okay? Is this even okay?
