Chapter 23

Yuzu was still running through the streets with Shai
"Y-yuzuko! Stop!" Shai said and Yuzu stopped panting heavily. Shai panted heavily catching her breath and looked at Yuzu
"Y-yuzuko...wh-what happened? Why did you r-run?" Shai asked. Yuzu just clenched her fists tightly and looked up at Shai with a sad expression. Shai's eyes widen and trembled seeing Yuzu break down like that
"What happened Yuzuko?" Shai asked
"M-mei..." Yuzu mumbled and cried
"H-huh? What did you say?" Shai asked. Yuzu just wiped her tears and trembled
"L-let's head home. It'll be okay" Shai said as she patted her back softly
"Yuzu-chan! Shai-oh...uhm is she doing okay? What happened?" Phila asked
"I-I'm not sure what happened to her. We were just about to head home so yeah" Shai said
"May I join?" Phila asked
"Sure" Shai said. The two girls took Yuzu back home to the apartment and put her in the couch. Yuzu calmed herself a bit and Shai gave her some water. Yuzu took the water and drinked to calm herself more
"Yuzu what happened?" Phila asked
"Yeah why did you ran away from your teacher?" Shai asked
"Ugh...I can't think anymore. I just need to get my mind off of a couple things..." Yuzu said
"O-oh well if you want we can leave" Phila said
"No...I think I want to go out for a drink" Yuzu said
"Huh?! Yuzuko you can't drink! You're still young!" Shai exclaimed. Yuzu just stood up ignoring her and walked to her room to get herself ready
"Yuzuko are you even listening to me?" Shai asked. Yuzu still ignored her as she shut the door and began to choose what outfit to wear. She went to the bathroom and pulled out her makeup kit then put herself makeup. After a couple of minutes she came back
"Yuzuko what-"
"Shut up" Yuzu said and walked passed Shai. Yuzu walked up to Phila and looked at her
"Hey Philla wanna hang out for a bit?" Yuzu asked
"S-sure" Phila said as she stood up
"Yuzuko!" Shai shouted getting her attention. Yuzu turned around to look at her
"What? Come on. Let's go" Yuzu said
"Eh? I can come too?" Shai asked
"Well duh" Yuzu said
"Al-alright! I'll get myself ready! I'll call you when I'm done!" Shai said and ran out the apartment and headed back to her place quickly. She ran through the streets and got back home. She opened the door finding her mother
Huh? What the hell? She's early...again?
"O-oh good afternoon Shai. How was your day?" Kallen asked
What the hell? Why is she caring about me all the sudden? Right...the incident...whatever
"Fine..." Shai said and walked upstairs heading to her room. She dropped her bag and began to take her clothes off as she put a new outfit on. After she was done Shai pulled out her phone calling Matsuri
"Oh hey Shai. What's up?" Matsuri asked
"Matsuri meet me up by Yuzu's place" Shai said
"Hm? Sure but why? Did something happen?" Matsuri asked
"Well...something did happen at school" Shai said
"Huh? What happened?" Matsuri asked
"W-well uhm...I'll explain later but right now just get ready and meet me there" Shai said
"Okay. See ya there Onee-chan" Matsuri said and hanged up. Shai put her phone in her pocket and walked out the room then went downstairs
"Shai? Where are you going?" Kallen asked
"Why do you care?" Shai asked as she stopped by the door
"Because you're my daughter and I just know where you're going" Kallen said. Shai sighed deeply and glared at her mother
"Listen up...stop pretending. I won't ever forgive you do fuck off. I don't care anymore. I can take care of myself anyways so yeah...bye" Shai said and walked out the house slamming the door when she left. Shai began heading to Yuzu's apartment and called her
"Hey Shai" Yuzu said
"H-hey Yuzuko I'm on my way right now" Shai said
"Alright hurry" Yuzu said and hanged up. Shai just sighed and put her phone away
"Hey kid" The guy said from an alley. Shai stopped and turned around seeing Kang
"Huh? What the hell are you doing there?" Shai asked
"Here" Kang said handing her the clean pocket knife. Shai's eyes widen seeing the knife and stepped back trembling remembering that night where she killed
"You okay kid?" Kang asked
"Y-yeah but...why are you giving is back to me?" Shai asked
"You need it. I mean do you wanna die out here on the streets?" Kang asked
"No..." Shai said
"Then take it and keep it. Don't worry about last night. I cleaned up your mess that night and also..." Kang paused and let out a groan
"I saw you with...that woman" Kang said a bit disgusted
"H-huh? Woman? Do you mean Celeste?" Shai asked
"Yeah...I guess after meeting with her and talking to her you found out about more of your father. Am I right?" Kang asked
"Y-yes but...well...that night...I also found out that my mother...my-my mother..." Shai mumbled and began to tear up. Kang looked at her and nodded
"I know. There is no need to explain..." Kang said
"So my mother...did she really never liked him?" Shai asked
"Well...I suppose since your mother found him killing her ex" Kang said
"He killed her ex?" Shai asked
"He was uhm...how should I say this? He was possessive and uh... obsessive too" Kang said
"So...was he crazy for my mother?" Shai asked
"Yeah...kinda. You could say crazy for both of them but meh...whatever" Kang said
"Oh..." Shai said and looked away as she held the pocket knife
"You heading to someplace?" Kang asked
"Yeah...my cousin is in a bit of..hum a problem and she needs my help. Hopeful I could try and help her out in some way" Shai said
"Alright then you go and have fun but be careful if you plan on staying outside. Some clans might be out at night doing there own thing and if they see you...they will try to hurt you" Kang said
"Why me though?" Shai asked
"Your father had many rivals and none of them were able to defeat him. Some of his rivals were his friends that paid him but when they didn't pay him back...Shailung would just kill then without hesitating or showing mercy. If one of them saw you...they would immediately choose you as their target. Yeah sure they'll be surprised why you look exactly like him but what will shock them is that Shailung ended up having a daughter" Kang said
"So my father always kept me as a secret from his world or something like that?" Shai asked
"Pretty much..." Kang said
"I see well...thanks for telling me and thank you for helping me out with uh...well with that incident" Shai said
"No problem kid and next time try to be careful and control yourself. Or at least try to because the way you fought them...was your father's movements" Kang said
"Y-yeah..." Shai said
"Alright then you go on and play with your friends. I'll head back to my place" Kang said as he walked away. Shai looked down clenching her fists tightly
"W-wait Kang!" Shai said calling him. Kang stopped and turned around to look at her
"Yes?" Kang asked
"U-uhm...well...something odd h-happened" Shai said
"Huh? Something odd?" Kang asked
"I-it happened during class..." Shai said
"I'm listening" Kang said
"O-okay so this m-may sound wierd or crazy but...I-I saw my father" Shai said
"You what? You saw him?" Kang asked
"Y-yeah I did! He was standing next to me and it felt like he was there but when I went back to my seat he was gone" Shai said
"Hm? I understand" Kang said
"D-do you know why that happened?" Shai asked
"I'm not so sure and I'm not the kind of guy to believe in paranormal or ghosts but...if it's about Shailung then I believe it" Kang said
"So you know what it means?" Shai asked
"I'm not so sure about that but ignore it for now. If it happens again just look for me. I'm mostly in the alleys" Kang said as he walked away. Shai just nodded and left heading to the apartment. Kang stopped and chuckled softly
Shailung will be back...hehe...I wonder what he planned for his daughter's future

"Huh? Matsuri you're leaving us?" Lina asked
"I got a call from Shai. It's about Yuzu-chan" Matsuri said
"Oh your sister. We get it" Sakira said
"Yeah is she doing okay?" Lina asked
"I'm not sure but I should really get going" Matsuri said
"Okay then. Bye Matsuri-chan" Lina said
"Bye Matsuri" Sakira said
"Hehe bye guys" Matsuri said and left running
"Hey! Matsuri! Don't forget to send me their phone numbers!" Brono said. Matsuri just rolled her eyes and headed home
Hm? I wonder what Yuzu-chan's done...I could tell it's something bad by hearing Shai's worried tone
Matsuri arrived home panting heavily and found her grandmother laying on the couch
"Gr-grandma?" Matsuri asked
"O-oh hey Matsuri" Her grandmother said smiling softly
"Grandma you doing okay?" Matsuri asked
"Yes dear. I am" Her grandmother said
"Are you sure?" Matsuri asked
"Hehe yes dear and are you going anywhere?" Her grandmother asked
"I'm gonna go change and hang out with Yuzu and Shai" Matsuri said
"Oh that's wonderful. Well I hope you have fun with them" Her grandmother said
"Yeah" Matsuri said and walked upstairs going to her room then changed her outfit. She went downstairs then noticed her grandmother groaning in pain
"Gr-grandma?! You feeling okay!?" Matsuri exclaimed
"I-I'm fine dear" Her grandmother said holding her hand. Matsuri trembled a bit and looked at her
"Matsuri don't worry about me. I think I just ate something bad. You go have fun with your friends" Her grandmother said
"W-well alright. I'll be back later and I won't be out so late" Matsuri said
"Okay" Her grandmother said
"Bye grandma. Love you" Matsuri said as she smiled
"Bye sweetie. Have fun. Love you too" Her grandmother said smiling back at her. Matsuri kissed her forehead before walking out the house. Her grandmother's smile slowly faded as soon as Matsuri left the house. She teared up and trembled feeling the pain
"M-matsuri...forgive me. Forgive me...pl-please...I'm sorry..." Her grandmother mumbled

Harumin drove back home with her big sister. She had her phone on silent since many calls and messages were coming from Mei which pissed Harumin off. Mitsuko had no clue what Harumin was going through but she did knew she was pissed off
"Harumi did something happen?" Mitsuko asked
"Nothing...it's just...ugh forget it" Harumin said
"Whatever..." Mitsuko mumbled. They both arrived at their mansion and got out the car. Harumin took her phone and saw many messages and calls
Grrr...why is Mei trying to talk to me? Whatever...that bitch is dead to me and she better stay the fuck away from me. 6 years Mei...6 god damn years passed after...what happened that day...
Harumin entered the house finding her mother in the kitchen
"Hey my little sweeties. How was your day?" Soha asked
"Fine I guess" Harumin said
"The usual..." Mitsuko said
"That's great to hear. Now go wash your hands. Dinner is almost ready" Soha said
"Yes mother" The two Taniguchi sisters said and went to the bathroom to wash their hands. After that they both walked back to the kitchen but the doorbell rung
"I got it" Harumin said and walked to the front door. She grabbed the doorknob and turned it opening the door then her eyes widen seeing a black haired girl with beautiful lavender eyes. Harumin stood there shocked and trembled a bit. She clenched her fists tightly and gritted her teeth
"What the hell are you doing here...Aihara-san?" Harumin asked sternly
