A constant banging came from the other side of my bedroom door, waking me up from the sleep I didn't remember getting. The noise didn't stop, I groaned and walked over to the door and opened it.
My mom was smiling like an idiot, holding both hands behind her back.
"What?" I asked sleepily, wiping my eye with my wist in an attempt to wake up.
"Calum came over early this morning to drop this off..." She told me, showing me what she held in her hands.
It was Calum's old tattered notebook. My mom held it out for me to take it, I just looked at it. Why would he give it to me? "No. I don't want it."
"Listen sweetie, I don't know what happened when you left for your trip or why you came back earlier but give him a chance. Calum is a nice boy who deserves a chance. He looked so upset when he came today"
I reached out and took the book with a groan and my mother seemed so excited. I rolled my eyes, walking back into my room and sitting in my window seat. The book looked years old and at the top left hand corner of the cover Calum's name was written then two dates. The day I started school in Australia, and..... today. I opened it out of curiosity, taped to the inside cover was a smaller piece of paper.
Vanessa,
So, for a year or so me along with Luke, Ashton, and Michael uploaded videos as our band to YouTube. We were never really that well known but that changed yesterday.
Louis Tomlinson from one direction had coincidentally stumbled upon our cover of their song and contacted us. Believe it or not they have a new album out soon along with an up coming world tour.
I found out yesterday that we are the expected opening act. That meant we have to move to London.
It's an amazing opportunity that I couldn't pass up, the one thing holding me back was you. I wouldn't mind dealing with Michael and the other guys if I had you beside me, I can't leave you. I want you to come along and adventure with us...
The plane leaves at 4pm, I want you to be there.
This book is very important to me, and I hope maybe it can persuade your decision.

I laughed as I saw his signature, and I lifted the note and as promised, there was the plane ticket.
London, England.
A far way from home. I didn't know how I felt about it, but I opened the book.

I spent the entire day reading that book from cover to cover. Each page held either a poem, song, or just his writing.
I wasn't sure why, but my favorite song was rejects. What made me change my mind was that each entry in the journal was about me. All of it. I lifted my head and looked at the clock. 2:00pm
I grabbed my large suitcase without hesitation, stuffing all the clothes I could into it and everything else I would need.
I brushed through my hair and put on some makeup before realizing I was still in my pajamas. I walked into my closet pulling on some white skinny jeans. I looked around for a shirt, my fingertips grazed over a soft unfamiliar fabric. I pulled it off the hook and smiled to myself.
It was Calum's NASA shirt from the first night Michael hurt me. I slipped it on and tucked the front behind my belt, I shoved my phone in my pocket and ran down the stairs with my suitcase and journal in hand.
I got to the end of the steps and my mom was there, basically waiting for me.
"C'mon! We have to go soon!"
