chapter 10

REGINA

I sat up straight in my empty king sized bed meant for two but only holds one. I ruffled my wild, wavey hair out of my face while looking at the time. 5:16AM Jesus. Why I've woken up now I will never know. That's a lie...I know...It was that blonde I cant get her off my mind...I need to explain to her what actually happened. I reach over to my bedside table letting my arms become exposed to the cold air of my bedroom as I had left open the window. A shiver ran down my spine at the biting of the cold amongst my arms while I unlocked my phone trying to find Emma's number.

Regina: Hey, I know its early in the morning and I know you don't want to speak to me right now but can we please meet up at sometime? You need to know the full story. x

Emma replied back almost instantly...was she thinking about me too?...us?

Emma: I saw everything Regina, what is there to explain really?

I knew she was hurting and it pained me to know I was the one who did it.

Regina: Emma just hear me out please. meet me at Granny's Diner tonight at 8:00 okay and if you don't turn up I will understand and I will leave you alone.

I sighed at the text that I just sent thinking about what if she did show up? or what if she didn't? I would be lost without her.

Emma: I'm not making any promises...Goodnight Regina.

I hope she comes...

As waited patiently for Emma to arrive I ordered us both some drinks and myself a chicken sandwich without mayo considering I haven't eaten all day. I had demolished my sandwich and drained my drink and still no sign of Emma. I tapped my heel on the floor my nerves getting the best of me. When I realise an hour has passed I finally give up waiting I crash my head into my hands slowly letting out sobs of sadness. Until I heard that voice...The same one I heard when I was with Robin...Is it?...Could it be?...Emma?.

I look up seeing a tall blonde standing in front of me leaning slightly to the side with one leg and her arms pressed against her sides letting off a weak grin at me. I return the smile and motion her to sit down. "I ordered you a hot cocoa a while ago so I think it may have gone cold...sorry" I say apologetically. "No its fine- I'm not thirsty anyways..." she stutters. "I didn't think you where going to come" I say giving her yet another weak smile. "I'm sorry I had to thin-...Regina? have you been crying?" She cocks her head in confusion and wonder. I brush away the left over tears "No...Well, Yes" I say giving into her beautiful forest green eyes. "I didn't think you where coming...and well I like you Emma more than a friend and I wanted you to know I had nothing to do with the kiss...I swear to you...I promise you..." I said sympathetically. she sat there for a moment in pure confusion but before she could answer I carried on speaking "Robin pulled me into the kiss and I tried to pull away but he's to strong for me so I couldn't get out of his grip" I say telling the truth and nothing but the truth. it looked like she didn't buy anything I just said but then the other half of her knows or well thinks im telling the truth...I can tell she's confused.

"I don't know what to think Regina...from my angle it didn't look like you where pulling away at all" she hissed. "Emma I promise you I'm telling the truth...Emma I'm sorry for what you saw but I honestly am telling the truth...I need you to believe me...I love you...I know that's silly as we have only known each other for only a few weeks but I connect with you so well...not like I have with any other" I said putting my head to my hands again thinking I've gone too far. I heard the blonde rise and I didn't bother look up as I knew she was going to leave...but boy was I wrong...she shuffled into the same seat as me and hugged me close putting her chin upon my head "I believe you" She admits before placing a pair of soft, lush lips against my own. We kissed passionately for a while before we realised we where in a public diner. we pulled apart giggling.Giggling there it is again. I knew Emma was still wary but I also knew she wanted to make this work. As soon as I payed Ruby for my food and drinks I invited Emma over to mine to watch a movie for a while. when she accepted my invite I felt my heart leap out of my chest in excitement...

Lets just hope this lasts...

I have exams coming up very shortly and I have to do a lot of revision so I may not be uploading as frequently but I will try my absolute best to do so.
