Chapter thirteen

No ones POV

Jay just stood and looked at the spot he left. She couldn't think straight. Her mind was a foggy and she felt a huge lump in her throat.

The water was running and the bathroom was starting to get misty from the hot water. She picked up the shampoo and climbed in the tub.

The hot water stung her body like a bee. Her sore legs and arms relaxed a bit, but the water burned her cuts. Thinking they were infected, she rubbed shampoo on them and flinched at the sensation.

Then she lathered shampoo on her brown hair and washed all the mud, sweat and dirt from her hair.

Her body relaxed and she managed to get rid of some tension in he body. The her mind ran towards Marshall. He had seen her naked! What was she going to do?

There was only one thing she could do.

Marshall's POV

Poor girl. Poor, poor girl. I really don't know how to help her. I just want to protect her, and I don't know how. This what I'm feeling for her is fatherly instinct. This girl needs me. She didn't run away from home for no reason. She needs someone in her life to be there for her. And I intend to be that someone.

She's probably gonna run away. That's what I would do too. If someone came in the bathroom while I was showering and saw all my cuts and scars. Heck, I would be embarrassed if I accidentally kissed a famous person too.

Well, I better lock the doors, just in case, cause you never know. Oh, and I'll probably sleep on the couch tonight.

Jay's POV

As soon as I got out of the shower, I saw that two fluffy towels were on sink. Didnt see them there earlier. So I immediately dried myself, and combed my hair out with my fingers. Then I got changed. The sweats pants were really warm and soft, but the shirt was very stiff.

I went into the living room, but saw him there. So naturally, I walked away. I went into my room and started packing my things. All the clothes I came in, were sitting on the foot of the bed. My iPod was well charged and all I needed was the night to cover my steps. So I needed to wait for midnight to strike.
