"Mommy! Daddy!" We're awoken but sudden movement on our bead and when my eyes shoot open I realise that it's just our daughter, jumping on our bed excitingly which I'm guessing is because she starts school today

"Okay we're up" I laugh while hitting Peetas sleeping chest, I roll my eyes when he just groans because that boy can sleep through the roughest storm and not be woken up

"Daddy, wake uuup" Pearl whines crawling and sitting on his chest, his eyes are closed but he's grinning and I roll my eyes again, then he grabs our daughter and flips her on the bed then tickles her, her laughter fills our bedroom

"Daddy! St-stop!" She laughs until he finally stops, obeying his daughter

"Your not being a troublemaker are you, sweet pea?" He asks and she giggles

"Mommy's a troublemaker too! I wanna be like mommy" she says and Peeta grins at me, I smile down at my daughter and kiss her forehead

"You can be, love. You can be an even better version" I reply which she smiles at

"Can daddy make breakfast now?" She whines and I laugh

"How about you go wait downstairs so we can get dressed then daddy will make breakfast" I reply and she nods, scurrying out of our room but then Peeta has me pinned underneath him

"Have I told you how beautiful you look this morning?" He mumbles against my neck, I free my hands to grab his hair and pull him closer

"No need to flatter me..." I sigh and he grins against my ear

"Flatter gets me places, my love. How do you think Pearl got here?" I just laugh at him and then he shuts me up by kissing me

"We better get down there. You know how impatient she can be" I chuckle and he does too, giving me one last kiss before moving off of me

"She is her mother's daughter after all" he says as we both get dressed, once we're dressed we join our daughter downstairs and I stop Peeta from walking, Pearl is standing on a chair adding ingredients into a large bowl, I look to Peeta who's smiling proudly

"What's happening here?" Peeta finally speaks up, Pearl looks at the both of us with an adorable, toothy smile

"I'm making breakfast, daddy" she says, Peeta walks over and looks in the bowl then chuckles

"I'm afraid the egg shells don't go in, sweet pea. Here, I'll show you" he says, I stand there watching them with a smile, it's been interesting these last couple of years, Peeta and I's lives have changed since Pearl has entered it and we can't imagine life without her, we've had good days with her that I will cherish forever and not so good ones but we resolve the situation when she does. Like she was when she was a baby, Pearl absolutely adores Peeta and I know that he adores her, I know that she loves me too as well but the two of them have an unbreakable bond but it doesn't make me jealous, the opposite actually because he needs that extra bit of adoration from a child that is his own.

Pearl held both Peeta and I's hand as we made our walk to the school she will be attending, the school Peeta and I had attended. She chatted away at how she plans to make friends with everyone and how she can't wait to start which is a little upsetting because it seems like just yesterday that she was this tiny baby that I had to push out of my baby, a tiny baby that I'm glad I agreed on. We soon arrive at the school and Pearl immediately sees Nessa walking up to the school, Gale and Johanna watching from the gate with smiles, Pearl waves at Nessa before turning to Peeta and I, we both kneel down

"You feeling okay, sweetie?" I ask

"Yes, mommy. I'm very excited" Pearl giggles and I offer her a smile, I kiss her cheek and pull her into a hug
