Today I'll share with you how I make my object based covers. For the purpose of this tutorial, I am going to make this graphic, and I chose fantasy genre but the same process can be used for any other genre as well.

I used ibispaintx for this example and all resources are from pixabay. Font used is Desire font family.

Start of with placing your base texture on the first layer with the dimensions you usually use for covers

Place your texture as desired and press tick.

Pro tip: when looking for resources, use keywords, like here I searched 'grunge textures.'

On a separate layer, above the texture, add your object

On a separate layer, above the texture, add your object. I'm using a sword. Place it at the position of your choice, preferably in the middle so that it's the center of attention on the cover.
