Wifes little problem

I had the best show of my life tonight I think it was because I finally had Lexi here with me and I knew what I wanted in my life.
As I ran off stage I saw her standing at the side and I almost completely forgot where I was as I nearly engulfed her in a hug. She handed me my phone and went into complete assistant mode
"Great show Luke. Kerri said you have half an hour then she needs to see you oh and think you better check your phone" she frowned
"Everything ok" I said
"Yip" she said walking off
I ran towards my bus for a shower knowing Lexi wouldn't follow because it would look suspicious and I think she is mad at me for something. I looked at my phone and I saw why she might be pissed. There was a message from Caroline and I hadn't had the chance to take the love eyes emoji from her name
Caroline 😍:  Hey baby, bad news about Lexi, oh well Kerri can always get another assistant one that's actually good at her job rather than fluttering her eyelashes at you. Xxx
Fuck. I need to get cleaned up and then find Lexi. I also need to make Caroline think that Lexi is no longer working with us. I fired up a text to her before I got in the shower.
Me: Hey yeah Kerri said she had to let her go, not sure why she was a good worker and Carol she never fluttered nothing at me.
What a cow. I had to tell her in person that I was leaving her and that Lexi was going no where.
After a record shower I called Lexi. Straight to voicemail. Great I didn't need this. I called Kerri
"Hey is Lexi with you she ain't answering" I said
"Trouble in paradise already" she laughed
"Not funny Kerri, have you seen her" I snapped
"Calm down her phone is dead she is on her way. Oh and I told Caroline I had to let her go" she said
"Yeah I thought you might have she sent me a text and Lexi saw it so you can imagine the sucking up I will need to do"
"I'm sure you will love that"
"You know me so well. That's her here, oh and Kerri there's a massive bonus coming your way."
"I should think so. We leave early tomorrow so don't be late. Goodnight"
"I won't, goodnight"
I hung up the phone as Lexi walked over
"The wife" she smirked
"The assistant actually" I said holding my arms out for her to come and sit with me. She walked over and sat next to me.
"Is this going to get messy" she said
"It probably will baby but we have each other, and we just need to stay strong. Oh and look"
I took my phone out and showed her that I changed Caroline's name to The Ex 😡.
"Hahahaha that's funny baby.  I better hope she don't see that"
"She won't. I'm telling her as soon as I can. I have two days free after tomorrow's show. I want you to come with me when I tell her"
The color drained from her face
"She will kill me baby. Shouldn't you speak to her yourself. I can stay here with Kerri that way I'm safe" she said as she cuddled in closer
"Yeah your right I don't know what she will do so it's best if I go alone. Come let's get some sleep"
