"none of us should go through anything alone."

chapter four - hurting ;

the eight boys says in the living room, limbs tangled with other limbs, love being spread throughout them all. "you ready to talk, jisung," felix says, looking at the omega with caring eyes. jisung knew there was no way of getting out of this. he didn't want to avoid it, yet he did at the same time. he knew this would happen eventually. he knew they would find out, but he wasn't mentally prepared. jisung gave a small nod and out his head on felix's lap, and said boy ran his fingers through jisung's hair.

"when did you realize you were in heat," chan asked, taking things over as pack leader. "in the shower a couple days ago," jisung answered. "i felt slick on my legs, and i kept having heat flashes." "and why didn't you tell us right away?" "i knew that this pack really didn't want any omegas, and was leaning towards a more beta-alpha pack." the room was silent, and it made jisung uncomfortable. maybe he should of denied being an omega. if he did that, they wouldn't be in this situation. jisung rolled over, his head facing felix's shirt. small tears slipped down jisung's cheek, and felix felt small droplets of water hit his shirt. "hey, it's ok," he whispered, leaning down to jisung's ear. felix wiped away jisung's tears, and the boy shifted. "how do you feel about being an omega," seungmin asked, looking at the said boy. jisung shrugged. "i don't know, to be truthful with you. i'm not happy about it, but i'm not sad about it. maybe i'm angry, sure, but i don't care. i care more about the reactions of me being an omega than anything." seungmin nodded, understanding how he felt. he was the first in the pack to present as a beta, so he knows how scary it is. "what'd you go through," jeongin asked. "what?" "like, heat wise, what'd you go through?" jisung shifted. it would be weird talking about this. "um, a lot of slick happened. and it was painful sometimes, but only because of the heat waves. i was horny," he answered, his cheeks becoming flustered. jeongin's cheeks became flustered, as well. "you should of told us," hyunjin said, his small voice catching everyone's attention. "you know we find out things. we can never keep secrets from each other." "he's right," chan said. "none of us should go through anything alone." jisung knew what he did was wrong, and he knew that they wouldn't react in the way he thought they would. it was his pistanthrophobia.

he was afraid of getting rejected, ever since he was a teenager. he was seventeen when he met them, and they became an official pack when jeongin reached the legal age of eighteen. when he told his family that he was in a pack with eight other people, they didn't take that so kindly. they wanted jisung to grow up as an alpha, and to find a good omega girl, maybe a beta. but alpha and beta boys? they certainly didn't want that. that's when he became afraid. they hit him, and used vile words against him. he walked back into their shared apartment, owned by chan, with tear tracks down his chubby cheeks. his bruises were mainly on his stomach and back, so they were easily hidden. the pack reassured jisung that everything was going to be fine, and that it was going to be ok. jisung knew it was, too, but he can't help but be so goddamn afraid.

"i'm sorry," jisung whispered, his teary eyes looking down. "you have nothing to apologize for," jeongin said. "it isn't your fault. we should of noticed that something was wrong. it's our fault." the rest of the pack nodded. they knew he was changing, they knew his scent was different. they just choose to ignore it. "it's not your fault. but it isn't my fault either, i guess it's no one's fault," jisung said, his words honest.

the pack relaxed in the living room, not wanting to move from their comfortable positions. it was peaceful, a time where they could just fathom in each other's presence.

they laid comfortably for almost an hour, until jisung shifted due to a heat wave and got up to go to the bathroom. "hey, you ok jisung," seungmin said, getting up after jisung. "yea, just a heat wave," he said, smiling at seungmin. jisung was going to say something else, but he buckled his knees and whimpered as he experienced a god awful hot flash. seungmin ran up to him, catching the omega before he hit the floor. "you sure you're ok?" jisung didn't say anything, he just clung onto seungmin. "wanna talk about it a little bit more in your room? i'm sure you'll feel better." jisung thought about it, contemplated, and softly nodded. seungmin smiled weakly as he also nodded.

once the two reached jisung's room, seungmin sat on the bed with jisung in his lap comfortably. jisung rested his head on seungmin's shoulder, seungmin whispering soft words to him and rubbing his back. "you ready to talk?" jisung was, he was just a bit scared. but who wouldn't be? they didn't really know about his parents explosion, but they did know that they weren't too fond of it. "remember when i told you that my parents weren't fond of the idea of us being together?" seungmin nodded, his mind traveling back to that day.

jisung opened the door quietly, closing just as quietly behind him. their shared apartment was small, one bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen, and a small living room that fit one couch and a television. jisung fell on the couch, finally letting it all out. he sobbed quietly, the only noise he made were the few hiccups he would have. he never expected to be disowned by his own parents. to have the people that were supposed to love and support you call you a "mistake"and a "disgrace to the family" wasn't the best. jisung didn't even realize that some of them were up.

"jisung?" jisung sniffled softly and turned to see chan, felix, changbin, and seungmin standing in front of him. "baby," chan said, kneeling in front of jisung. jisung felt another wave of tears coming and threw his arms around chan, burying his head into chan's shoulder. "what's wrong, love?" jisung tried to talk, but whenever he opened his mouth, nothing except a heart breaking sob came out.

after fifteen minutes, and everyone else was up at this point, jisung was ready to speak. "they hate the idea of me being in a pack," he whispered. it was silent, no one made a single noise except for the slight hiccup or sniffle that came from jisung. "when i told them, they were pissed. they kept saying that i could do better, but i tried to explain that you guys make me happy. they said that i was just manipulating myself. and then they started saying i was a disgrace to the family, and how i was a mistake who didn't deserve to live." jisung tried to continue, but a sob broke loose and he held onto chan. "you don't have to say anymore,"he whispered, rubbing his back. jisung nodded, but he still was crying. it was an emotional thing to talk about, and the moments were replaying in jisung's head as he talked. he knew that what his parents did was wrong, but he couldn't help but feel self conscious.

that night was hell, obviously, but he was surrounded by the people who loved him the most. he smiled as he was cuddled by all of them, their love radiating.

"what about that night," seungmin asked quietly. jisung shifted and buried his head more. "i was scared that everything that happened the night i told my parents was gonna happen again." seungmin felt his heart break in half. he never wanted jisung to feel like he was going to be attacked for something he couldn't help. "sweetie, no." seungmin held jisung closer. "we would never." "they did more to me than what you think." seungmin pulled jisung back a bit and looked at him. "what do you mean? what'd they do?" jisung looked down, and seungmin grabbed jisung's chin to make jisung look at seungmin. "what'd they do?" seungmin wasn't asking for an answer. he was demanding an answer. "they hit me. my mom threw books at me and my dad slapped me." seungmin and jisung were quiet, and jisung began to cry again. seungmin said nothing as he held jisung close to him. "i'm so sorry," he finally said. "that's awful. they're your fucking parents, for god's sake! they shouldn't ever, ever, hit you." jisung didn't do anything, he just cried quietly. "i'm so sorry they treated you like that." jisung nodded. "i'm tired," he muttered. "wanna cuddle," seungmin offered, and jisung was quick to nod.

the two boys laid in each other's arms, cuddling, ready for whatever the world was going to give them.
