The night sky looks so beautiful, the stars sparkled like diamonds and the moon luminous the dark surroundings. The wind blows cold air yet you found yourself relaxing and captivated by the dark blue sky.

"There is something about the solitude under the night sky. How peace can be found in loneliness and happiness in pain. Appreciate beauty in a time of irony. To find the purpose of life in death." you wrote to your journal.

Feeling satisfied with what you have written, you decided to go back to your inn but your feet took you to a different direction. Standing In front of a tall fence, you found yourself admiring Allerdale Hall. There something about the old mansion that attracts you, pulling you to come closer. Looking around, there was no one there so you decided to climbed the fence. It was hard, especially that you were not that athletic.

"I should have taken my gymnastics class seriously," you said landing on your feet.

Making your way to the mansion, you tried your best not to make any sounds. You just need to see what is inside, take photos and leave. Turning on the flashlight on your phone, you kneel down and touch the soil and observe the unique color. It looks like a blood has been spilled on it, it was kinda moist and red as blood.

Once inside, you felt like you were in a gothic mansion. The moonshine from the broken ceiling. You started to take pictures, going to the second floor, each step you took makes the old floorboard creaked under your feet. Walking to the center, you took a photo from the top when a cold wind blows. Turning around a familiar corridor welcomed you. It was the corridor in your dream.

"You've got to be kidding me." you breathe.

Taking a step, you looked at the wall and the old paintings and then there was something on the floor. The carpet? No, it was not the carpet. A figure started to come out, you don't know if your eyes were playing tricks on you but you run down the stairs. Your heart was beating fast, you need to get out of there. But your foot got caught onto something and loses your balance then the impact came, everything went black.

"Wake up."

There was a soft voice whispered in your ears. Opening your eyes, you can feel the pain, all over your body but it was on your ankle that hurts the most. Slowly you tried to sit up but the pain stings so much. Observing your surrounding, you were in a room and...

"I see that you are finally awake." looking at the owner of the voice you saw a man standing not too far from you.

"Did... Are you the one who put the bandage on my ankle?" you said trying to compose yourself.

"Yes, I heard a loud noise and there on the ground, I saw you unconscious. Then I saw your leg bleeding, so I cleaned your wounds and cover it up." the man answered walking close to you.

"Thank you." you were still confused on what's going on but your thoughts were cut off the moment you saw the man's face. He has an edgy face but his expression was soft, thin lips, pointed nose, proud cheekbones, and his eyes.

"My apologies, where are my manners? I'm Thomas Sharpe." Thomas extended his hands towards you which you took, he placed a soft kissed at that back of your hand.

"I'm [Y/N L/N]. I should be the one apologizing..." your words trailed off as you gazed into his blue eyes, they were so clear like the ocean.

"No need to do that, I'm sure you just came in because you were looking for shelter." Thomas looked at the window "The rain suddenly poured in."

Looking where he was looking at, you found yourself responding to him "Yeah."

But you remember clearly how you get there and the sky was clear and no sign that it will rain. Not wanting to be in trouble, you decided to play along. If Thomas thinks that it was because of the rain then so be it.

"I think you should stay for the night." He said getting your attention.

"What?"

"The road is now flooded, for sure the river is overflowing because of the storm." he explained.

"Is there an alternative way to get to the town?"

"Unfortunately but there is none." Thomas said with an apologetic look in his eyes.

"I guess I have no choice." your gaze landed on your lap. Then realizing how ungrateful you sound you looked at Thomas "I mean, thank you. It's not  that I am not grateful but I just feel bad for being a burden to you."

"Don't be, you are welcome to stay." Thomas gave you a genuine smile.
