Chapter 13:
Football PracticeAfter our free period was up, Parker and I headed back to the school. We arrived ten minutes before fourth hour was up, that way no one seen us pull up together, as well as give us time to grab our books for our next hour. After that my day went relatively fast, especially last hour.
I sat there doodling in my notebook, it was really just a bunch of lines and shapes as well as flowers. The teacher stood in the front of the class talking about the periodic table once again, I am sure this was because our test was next Friday but my brain loves to procrastinate till last second.
Watch me cram it all into my head Thursday before the test and then stress all Friday and wonder why I never studied earlier. I put myself in these situations, and then I think to never procrastinate again to prevent stress. But here I am once again.
"Are you planning on leaving the class?" Hayden asked from the side of me, pulling me from my thoughts.
I look up and around and notice people up and leaving, how had I not heard the loud bell ring was beyond me. I shut my notebook and shoved it into my bag before collecting my things, Hayden stayed back and waited for me. I gave him a small smile as we walked out of the classroom and towards the back doors that lead to the football field.
"I can't believe I agreed to staying in hell for two hours for you two." I told him with a grin, teasing him.
Hayden rolled his eyes, "You're going to enjoy it don't even try to deny it. Football players have nice asses too you know."
"We will see about that." I sighed.
"I have to go to the locker room and get changed, I better see you on those bleachers America." He told me as he slowly started walking backwards towards the doors that said 'Boys locker room'.
"And if I'm not? What are you going to do?" I asked, crossing my arms and smiling.
"It won't be pretty." He said, a smirk dancing on his lips.
"Is that a threat or a promise?" I ask with a laugh.
Hayden didn't answer, instead he let out a laugh and shook his head before disappearing behind the doors. I let out a sigh before turning to the doors that stood to my left, they lead out to the football field. I contemplated leaving but I couldn't because I would have to break the news to them that I can't make it tomorrow.
I pushed open the doors and walked down the path that went to the bleachers. I climbed the stairs before finding a place to sit, I took out my phone and seen it was just 2:40 p.m. I wouldn't be leaving until almost five o'clock and these bleachers were anything but comfortable.
After a few more minutes of waiting the guys who were trying out walked on the field. I tried to find Hayden and Mike, they were hard to miss with their jersey's from last year that had their last names on the back. I watched as they both caught up to the rest of the crowd, when they did they both looked over towards me.
Well the bleachers to be specific, when they did find me, the two waved at me like friends who found each other at some party and were eager to see them there. I shook my head and waved back at the two, a smile overtaking my lips as I did so.
