"You're not Alex!" I groaned clutching my head. Seriously... way to old to keep doing this stuff.
Alex had the pendant clutched in his hand. "How right you are! I think our little princess knew the whole time, not much escapes you does it?" I glared at him, moving to stand back up. Listening to him laugh just aggravated me even more. "As you can see, my peaceful side is also my foolish side! He could never have conquered half the globe without me!"
Yugi had a determined expression on his face as gramps backed away from Alex. "We've got to stop him." I nodded wondering what we could do right now. This guy was stronger than we were.
His arm was higher than any of us could reach. "It is time to complete what I began centuries ago!" Even as he laughed I could just make out his other side fighting for control. "You're making a mistake! Didn't you learn your lesson last time? The power you seek doesn't belong to us!" One side argued. The evil half wasn't going to hear it. "You've held me back for the last time!"
My gaze hardened, even now when I was separated from the group. "You won't be getting away with this, you must know that. What kind of a ten thousand year old princess would I be if I just let you win? I've dealt with people who want power all of my life, I know you won't be the last. I will stop you no matter the cost. So just make this easier on yourself and give the pendant back to Mr. Muto." I lowered my head so that my eyes looked directly at him.
He turned and started running up the stairs. I was about five behind him, the others following closely behind. I tripped on the last step of the top room sliding across the floor. He looked back to me with a smile. "I've stared at this doorway hundreds of times. However, this time, I hold the key." I was already on my feet and running at him again but before I got close enough he placed the pendant into the holder. I skidded to a stop watching it disappear into the door and open. "At long last!
I gave a low growl but before he could enter Yugi tackled him, which caught me a little off guard. Shaking my head I ran over with Tristian to help hold him down. He fought pulling us through the door with him. Joey and Tea were holding onto Alex's ankle while we were dangling from the doorway.
I looked up, that familiar feeling from when I was pushed into the shadow realm over taking me. I could feel myself shaking and yet my ring was glowing at the same time. We all fell in when Alex started fighting, and as we fell Green-eyes appeared beside me.
We stared at one another for a moment, both feeling the same terror from before. I held out my arm with the capsule shooter and pulled him into a capsule before we could hit the ground. We just didn't instead out fall slowed until I was floating by Yugi, my hands holding my shoulders and Green-eyes capsule. "Where are we?"
Yugi asked as he looked around. Turning slightly I could see something, a strange white light changing its form. I gaped when I saw who it was. "You!" I shouted not expecting to have ever seen him again.
Alex seemed surprised as well. "I know you. You're the one who created the pyramid!" He honestly looked angry, my Pharaoh and I sharing a similar look before locking our eyes back onto this new character.
I just didn't know that the guys knew him as well, or that his name was Shadi. I had honestly never asked. "You now stand at the threshold of a power greater than anything you could imagine." I tilted my head slightly, I think that he had the Millennium key around his neck.
Yugi spoke up as I adjusted how I was floating in this space like atmosphere. "Yeah but all we really want is to go home."
My attention turned to Alex. "Then go! I've been waiting for that power for two thousand years and now it's mine!" Everyone started to argue, so I just curled up and held my hands over my ears. I hated fighting, and this idea of power. Even after hearing that he had passed the test.
