I was thinking back to the words Bakura spoke about the former Pharaoh, my father. I know (Y/n) said he wasn't like that. That he was a kind and sweet man, but I had to wonder if his words were true? Asking myself if my father really did bring harm to innocent people in order to create the seven millennium items, or did he rule justly and restore peace to Egypt? I just wish I remembered more about him.

Almost as if a wish had been answered by the gods I started to remember something. Shimon holding me after I was born. My father carrying me out for the people to see. Watching me as I learned to walk "Oh... there's no need to cry, my son." Encouraging me to continue on my own. "That's right. You can do it. It's all right, my boy. Remember, everyone falls once in a while. That is what makes us stronger."

Then me as a bout a five or six year old running into the throne room and running into someone short but taller than myself. I looked up to see her familiar face. Everyone else in the room gasped in fear. She just knelt down and held her hand out to me. "You really should be more careful young man. Here, why don't I give you a hand?" I relaxed a little bit, looking to her outstretched hand and warm smile. Carefully taking it in my own and allowing her to help me up. I muttered a thank you before running out.

Later that same day my father came to tuck me into bed. "Father... is that lady going to be staying here with us?" He looked at me before chuckling.

"Why, yes. She is going to be staying here for a little while. Tomorrow she is going to our library if you wish to speak with her." I nodded before going to sleep. The next several months Mahad, Mana and I would hand out with either her or her Ryko. Then one day when the others were busy I went to her by myself. She promised she would tell me before we left so that we could say proper good-byes but she just didn't come back one day.

Next I was following my father down a dark tunnel. "Must I go with you, father? I don't like this place. What are we doing here, anyway?"

I was crying but my father didn't turn to face me. "Do you remember that girl who was with us for a few months?" I nodded. "This is what she went looking for the day she didn't come back. I don't know if she found it.. but this is something you need to witness, my son. Now follow me." I decided to ask why this place was so dark. "You needn't be afraid. This sanctuary is protected by the Egyptian gods themselves. As long as you show your respect, nothing here will harm you." For a moment I thought I heard a dragon crying out for help. My father didn't seem to pay it any mind.

Just leading me down some stone steps and onto a pathway. "No I won't go any further."

I didn't want to continue. "This is not a matter of choice." I ran to catch up to him, as he told me to stay close. And for me to be aware of my surroundings at all times. I was walking a little to closely to the edge and slipped, but managed to grasp onto the side of the walkway. Below was a pit of shadows. I asked for his help but he did not. "Lift yourself up, my boy." I did as he asked making it back onto the walkway on my own.

I guess (Y/n) had been right when she said that I would be able to climb things on my own. As we traveled further into the tunnel there were pictures of people on the walls. "Who are all these people?"

My fathers voice booming out into the tunnel. "Pharaohs that came before." He got down on his knees at the next set of stairs. I stood beside him. "Egyptian gods, hear me. I have committed a crime beyond atonement, and for this, I am truly sorry. By bringing the seven Millennium items into this world, I have destroyed the lives of thousands. I bare full responsibility for these actions. Please spare my son. Do not punish him for the misdeeds of his father."

He was crying. "Are you all right, dad? Why is it you're crying?" Tears came to my eyes, but I bowed my head. Just as I did so a large crack of lightning erupted before us. I stepped back in fear. My father didn't move as more struck the ground around us.
