Diana rapped the face of her watch annoyedly, her long fake nails clinking against the glass as she glanced at its ticking hands for the eighth time in the last two minutes. She was late..

Late to breakfast that morning. Diana had waited for her at the corridor they always met at before entering the dining hall, waiting through almost the entirety of breakfast, before Akko had come charging in, obviously disheveled and sleepy. She had slept in, as always. It was no surprise really, and Diana let her tardiness slide.

Just like she'd let it slide in class when Akko had gone to the rest room and hadn't returned until the very end of the class period. She'd thought of her girlfriends trouble with note taking and studying, and recopied her notes for Akko, to help her study.

She was late to everything, and Diana was growing tiresome of it. She sat in the armchair of the library, turning the pages of a worn, old book although hardly paying attention to the words themselves. She just kept rereading the same sentence, thinking of Akko, becoming frustrated and doing it all again in a vicious cycle. Hannah and Barbara kept their distance, noting her mood and sticking to the section with much easier to read literature. Finally, after an hour or so of torturous inability to pay attention. She slammed the book closed with both hands and uncrossed her leg, standing with a huff.

"Diana are you-" "No, Barbara, I am not alright." Diana wasted no energy on restraining her candor as she tricked the book under her arm and made her way huffily though the library.

Just as she reached the double doors, they went sailing inward, and her eyes widened, stumbling back as as not to get smashed in the face by the huge doors. "Dianaaaaa!" Akko cried, rushing in and looking around fervently. Diana, who was now on the floor and trying to regain her composure, looked up, a whirlwind of emotions raging inside her.

Confusion, surprise, anger, disdain as she realized she was sitting on the ground staring at Akko like an idiot. She got to her feet quickly and brushed herself off, cheeks flushing embarrassedly. "Akko-!" She said through gritted teeth, the frustration clear on her face. She was surprised however as Akko took her by the hand and yanked her through the doors, dropping her book in the process.

Akko dragged her protesting girlfriend out of Luna Nova and toward the tower, all the way up the steps and to the very top platform under the crystal. "Akko what are you doing?" Diana snatched her arm away as they reached the top. She was halted by the sight of what was on the platform. A blanket had been spread out across the floor, amid a few pillows and two baskets, one with a loaf of bread and a hunk of cheese, and another with two chalices and a bottle of water. It was.. crude, to say the least, but... it was also touching. Her frustrated look transformed into one of guilt. "Did you..?"

Akko nodded emphatically. "I made a picnic just for us!" She beamed, and Diana couldn't stay mad at her. "Thank you.. I love it." She places a small endearing kiss to the corner of Akko's mouth, and they say, enjoying their picnic date.
