You take a deep breath as the water runs over your shoulders. You stretch as you feel the warmth working away the tension in your body.
'I wonder if I can really stay down here?' You slowly run your fingers through your hair working out all the knots in it. You feel something caught in your hair and take a moment to wrangle it out of your hair. Once it's out of your hair you realize it's one of the flowers you had put in your hair after you woke up from your fall. You work the rest out and set them outside of the shower. You continue to work the knots out of your hair as your thoughts begin to wander again.
'I wonder what was up with that flower? Was it just my imagination? But Toriel made sound like it was real, she just didn't know much about it.'
You grab what seems to be a shampoo and start to lather it up in your hair. You sigh as the grease and dirt is worked out of your hair, it had been a while since you had given your hair this much attention.
"I forgot what it was like to have hot water."
At that moment you hear a small knock at the door.
"Alex, dear I brought you some clothes, I hope they'll fit. Do you mind if I come sit them in the room?"
"Oh uh yeah. And thanks a lot."
"Of course dear. I'll shall be in the living room when you are done, if there is still more you wish to talk about."
"Alright thanks mom."
You hear the door click shut before you can correct yourself again. You work on rinsing the lather out of your hair and start looking through the bottles looking for a conditioner. You find it and work some into your hair leaving it to soak for a few minutes.
'Why do I keep calling her Mom? I mean she seems real motherly, but I've never done this to anyone else before, well except the occasional teacher back in school. But even then it wasn't this bad.'
"Maybe I should just let it happen, I mean she seemed to be ok with being called mom. But what would mom think? It wouldn't make her sad if I called another person mom would it?"
You grab the bar of soap and slowly start working the dirt off your body. You take a deep breath as you run the soap covered hands over the scars that line your body, your fingers linger for a second on the scars on your sides. You let out a shaky breath before you continue washing yourself off.
'There's no point lingering in the past.'
Once your body is fully scrubbed you put the soap bar down and start working the conditioner out, feeling your hair start to soften as the conditioner washes out. You finish rinsing out the conditioner and take a breath and close your eyes as you lean back letting the water run over your face and body. You stand like this for a few more seconds before you step out of the stream of water and shut it off. You pull back the shower curtain and spot a towel on top of a pile of clothes sitting on the side of the sink.
You reach over and grab the towel trying to avoid dripping too much water on the floor. You shake out the towel before your wrap it around the top of your head, rubbing it around quickly soaking up as much water from your hair as possible before continuing to dry the rest of your body. You step out of the tub as you finish drying your legs. Satisfied with how dry you were you wrapped your hair into a towel bun and walked over to rifle through the clothes Toriel had brought for you. Most of them were too small for you but you were able to find something that fit, a green t-shirt with a few yellow stripes and a pair of beige pants.
