I've always wondered why Nero uses many rings...
It seems to me like he can't live without them.
Nero's POV
I walked up to Y/N, who was in deep thought of something.
So I decided to ask her.
"What are you thinking about, darling?"
Y/N looked up to me in curious eyes and asked,
"I've always wondered.... Why do you wear so many damn rings?"
I thought.
I actually never asked myself why either.
It looked like I was that guy who has many wives.
I laughed at myself.
"I know the rings may not look much, or even cost much... But one of the reasons that, each of the rings have their own story and how I earned them." I explained.
Y/N went back into deep thought as I wrapped my devil bringer and arm around her waist.
I then pulled out a black box and gave it to Y/N.
Y/N's POV again.
Nero pulled out a black box and gave it to me.
"What is this?" I questioned him.
"Open it and you'll see." He answered me gently.
Nero wasn't the type of person to do grand gestures, so it kind of shocks me that he would give me something like this.
I opened the box and saw a silver ring with a sapphire square cut jewel in the middle.
I noticed that it was one of Nero's old rings that had been reshaped and modified.
I gasped in awe as I took the ring out of its box.
"Nero... It's beautiful! Thank you so much!" I said.
Nero slipped the ring on my finger and smiled at me.
And it fits perfectly.
"Why would you give me this?" I questioned.
"Think of it... As a promise." He said to me.
"What promise?" I asked him.
"A promise that I'll keep you safe. No matter what." He replied.
"Thank you." I say to him as I kissed his lips.
