Rosemellow's p.o.v
~*~*~*~^~^~*~*~*~
I closed my eyes tightly as I felt the air run over my body and through my hair. The tree I had climbed was the tallest and oldest in town, taller than a house, very sturdy too. Not that it mattered either way. I was plummeting to my death and I was happy, I can see Ray again.
Everything felt blissful, until I realized I was not going to meet my end. I wasn't sure what made me feel this way, what gave me the feeling that I would still live this terrible life. But, it was a mere second after I realized this, I felt something,or rather someone, catch me from the air and force me to land on them. I heard heavy breathing and opened my eyes to see Hunter beneath me.
"Are you crazy Rosemellow!? What were you thinking? You could have died!" Hunter began yelling, even though he was out of breath. That's exactly what I was aiming for, I thought to myself.
"Why do you care?" I spat at him as I stood up. "What I do is none of your concern so stop acting like you care. Just because today is the day your father died does not mean that you can suddenly act like you care just to beat me tomorrow!" I yelled. Hunters' eyes widen.
"Rosemellow, I never meant to hurt you..."
"That is B S and you know it." I growled before calming down slightly. "Look if you want to be nice then leave me alone." I snarled and walked away. This is all just B S. Hunter is nothing but someone that wishes to hurt me because I was there when his dad died. I was blamed for the death of a man I met when he was on his death bed. In my anger I walked mumbling random stuff, how Hunter thought he could be nice and sweet to me, how Ray left me alone, how my stepfather treats me, how my mother doesn't notice anything that happens to me. I walked without a direct direction, I let my feet take me where ever. I didn't carry a concern of where I was going until a heard a loud horn. I glanced up and saw a black car that was heading directly towards me. It was going fast, too fast to stop. Suddenly I'm pulled back and clash into a strong sturdy chest. I was somehow turned and had my face in the chest, strong arms held me in place as the car sped by causing my hair to sway. The car drove into the small sand hill at the end of the road for the cars that had broken breaks. I pulled away from the sturdy chest and saw the driver jump out of his car and rush over to where me and the person that pulled me out of the way, a boy that I didn't know, were standing.
"Are you kids okay?" The man asked.
"I'm fine." The boy answered. "Are you okay?" The boy asked me. I nodded, I never talked to anyone unless I was defending myself from the students at school. That was the only time people talked to me.
"Are you sure? Maybe we should take you to the hospital, make sure nothing was hurt and you didn't-" The man began as he began digging though his pockets for something, possibly a phone
"I'm fine, thank you." My voice trembled out.
"Let us get you something to eat at least." The boy stated and motioned to the house behind us.
"I-it's okay." I stuttered out.
"Please, it's the least I could do after almost hitting you with my car." The man practically pleaded.
"I-" I gasped out but then the boy interrupted me.
"We aren't going to do anything bad to you if that's what you're afraid of." The boy reassured me.
"I don't know that." I mumbled as I began to back away from the strangers.
"Ray, stop prying. You're scaring the poor girl." The man said, directing his statement to the boy.
