Sometimes she stares at the walls and think "is this all I'm going to amount too"
She has friends but she pushes them away before they push her away
She belittles herself so when someone else does it, it won't hurt
She's harsh on herself so when she gets criticism, she can take it without crying (anymore)
She cries at night alone where no one can see her so the people around her don't see her vulnerable
She looks up jokes too make her smile just so she knows how to fake one
She lies constantly because that was all she was told as she grew up; lies
She stays quiet because no one seems to want to listen
One day she's going to disappear and people are gonna wonder why
If only they knew what happened behind those walls
