Chapter 25

Momo and the two younger spies were crawling through the vents, crawling as quiet as possible. There was still a few more turns they had to go through to get to the next hallway towards Akira's office. It was hard to see in the dark vents, the only source of light being the faint light from various rooms.

The trios' earpieces went off, Jihyo's voice coming through. "How far are you girl, now?"

"We're just a few more minutes away, maybe five?" Momo whispered while thinking.

"Okay, Jeongyeon and I will check-in on you girls once we see you're in the hallways," And Jihyo turned her mic off.

"Let's make haste," Momo whispered, getting two nods in response.

Once the three girls reached the destination of the empty room, they opened the vent seal, dropping down one by one. They brushed the collected dust off of their uniforms, proceeding to head out of the empty room.

"If I remember from what Jihyo explained, we're supposed to go down Hallway C?" Mina asked.

"Yep, which means we go down this hallway," Tzuyu pointed while observing the surroundings.

"Hey, Tzuyu-ah, why don't you lead us," Momo commanded rather than questioned. Tzuyu walked, almost happily, in front of the two Japanese girls, leading them through the hallway.

While the trio walked through the hall, there was a scanner connected to the walls. When each of them passed through, it made a beep sound and a little light turn green. Tzuyu proceeded to lead on and turned into a room, seeing that it was as empty as a newly built home, though filled with boxes and lockers.

"This room is weird, seeing as how this building has been here for... for how long?" Tzuyu questioned.

"Nearly 25 years now," Momo and Mina both confirmed in unison.

Tzuyu giggled at the couple, proceeding inside. The room was completely empty, silent, lonely. It remained that way until Mina was grabbed from behind and pulled back quickly. Alerted now, Momo and Tzuyu had sprung into action, quickly fighting the private assassin of Akira's, who pulled Mina. Suddenly, six of Akira's assassins came out of and the trio took their daggers out.

"Hey, that's no fair to use weapons, isn't it, ladies?" One of the assassins sarcastically exclaimed.

"Too bad, we don't play by the rules," Tzuyu smirked under her mask.

"Don't get cocky with us, girl," another growled.

Without another word, the three agents launched forward, catching all of Akira's assassins off guard. In a flash, his 'assassins' were on the ground stained with red. After the sudden fight, they changed back into their gear, Tzuyu and Momo putting the chameleon suit on. Suddenly, their earpieces went off and Jeongyeon's frantic voice came through.

"Sana and the other girls have been captured and are unconscious. We can't see what they're seeing anymore and there's no cameras in the room they're in!" Jeongyeon explained.

"You girls have to make haste now, there's not much time anymore," Jihyo commanded, "we don't know what he could be planning with them, or if he has more traps set for you three."

"It's fine, we can take it. Let's proceed," Momo said while climbing into the vents.

Chaeyoung was awoken with a pain on her neck. She couldn't see anything and immediately knew they had been caught. Trying to get up, she felt a tug, realizing she was tied to a chair.

"So, you're awake..." Chaeyoung heard a growl. She turned to the right, listening for the source.

"How you let your cover down," she heard another sarcastically mock, "was very pathetic and ignorant."

"Shut the hell up!" Chaeyoung yelled. A hand gripped onto her face, making her look forward.

"Don't you talk back to us, brat!" The first voice roared. In response, Chaeyoung spat in the man's face. He stumbled back, taking a stun cane and shocking her leg. She screamed in pain.

"How does that feel?" The second voice asked with glee.

Chaeyoung smirked, responding with, "Feels nice."

"Your scream says otherwise.." the second laughed.

"Go ahead and do it again!" Chaeyoung suddenly yelled.

The two were confused, but then put the stun cane higher up her thigh. Chaeyoung mustered up all her strength, desperately trying to keep her screams inside. Tears formed, wetting the cloth over her eyes.

"Wait, what's happening?!" The three heard Sana suddenly scream.

"Ahh, so Sana-shi is part of the ambush?" The first voice asked with aggression.

"I am, so what are you going to do about it?" Sana challenged.

"Are you afraid of pain?"

"Not at all..."

The first voice then said, "Then lets see how this feels," and he put the stun cane to Sana's thigh in a flash.

Sana let out a bloodcurdling scream, making the two punishers cover their ears.

Because of the scream, the two other girls finally woke from their unconscious state. Nayeon was the first to question, "where the hell are we?"

"Unnie?" Chaeyoung called.

"Chaeyoung-ah, are you okay? Dahyun, Sana, where are you?"

"Awe, look at this. The oldest is taking care of the younger spies," the second mocked.

Nayeon scoffed, trying to find a way to break free.

"Keep trying, girl, you're not getting out of here–" the second guy was cut off by a stab to the stomach.

"You... should've been watching me," Dahyun whispered into his ear.

The second guy looked to his left to see the first one was on the ground, completely still.

"How you let your cover down... was very ignorant and pathetic," Dahyun mocked him.

He yelled in response, attempting to push Dahyun away but immediately fell to the ground.

"Y-You're not getting away with this!"

"Tell that to your boss," Nayeon said.

"Fuck you!!"

"Shut up or we'll kill you," Nayeon, then, threatened. She shut the man up, him grumbling in response.

Momo, Tzuyu, and Mina were just over Akira's office room.

"Jihyo, Jeongyeon, where is he now?" Momo asked through her microphone.

The earpiece went off and Jihyo explained, "Akira is in one of his meeting rooms and not his office."

"Which meeting room?"

"...The one across from his office," Jeongyeon answered with a chuckle.

"Seriously?" Tzuyu questioned.

"Yes, we're serious, Tzuyu-ah," Jeongyeon joked.

"Shut up..."

"Alright, alright, let's finish our mission," Mina interrupted.

"Aye aye, Captain," Momo joked. She immediately earned a slap from Mina.

"But wait, what do we do with my father? Assassinate him or tie him up until authorities come?" Mina asked.

"Umm... We'll wait until the authorities come, we don't know what could happen if we were to attempt to assassinate him and he'd escape. He's already caught on to us," Jihyo answered.

"Okay, let's get this over with," Momo commanded.

The girls proceeded down into Akira's office.
