Chapter 4|| A New Threat

Klaus and Lucien are sitting at the bar counter, drinking their glass of bourbon.

"It's been a while since we shared a drink together", Lucien says.

"Indeed, it has", Klaus says with a smile.

They clink their glass together and take a sip from it.

"So, you're a married man, I'm impressed, Nik", Lucien says.

Getting annoyed, Klaus looks at him. "Why is my marriage any of your curiosity, Lucien?"

"I didn't know you had it in you", Lucien says.

Klaus looks at him, suspiciously. Then, his phone rings. "Excuse me?"

Lucien nods and Klaus walks away.

Corinne

Klaus smiles a little as he answers it. "Hello, love"

Corrine is outside of the Klaus's study, leaning on the foyer. "Klaus, there's a young witch here at the compound, she says she's with the Strix"

Rousseau's

Klaus gets concern as Corrine told him that there's a witch at the compound. "Are you alright, Cori?"

"Yeah, I'm okay, the young Strix witch put a aneurysm spell on me.... Klaus, she said that the Strix want me...what does that mean?"

Getting upset, Klaus calms down a little. "I'll be there in a few"

And they hang up as Klaus walks back to Lucien. "Pardon me, Lucien, something else needs my attention"

"I'll see you later then", Lucien says.

Klaus walks away as Lucien sips his glass of bourbon.

"Cori, who is that?", Lucien asked, confusingly.

While Klaus was talking on his phone, Lucien had tapped into his vamp-hearing.

(Corinne's POV/Outfit🔝) I'm sitting on the sofa in Klaus's study, just spaced out, humming.

"Corrine?", Klaus says.

I look at him. "Hi, Klaus"

He sits with me on the sofa, noticing my concern look. "What is it?"
