When Moon usually acts up I'm quick to correct it before anything bad happened, but no matter how many times I tried to fix this problem it keeps getting worse every rodeo I go to. It's like 1 step forward 2 steps back and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. After this last rodeo where Moon nearly threw me off, one of my few friends around here sugested I take a visit to this "Miracle Girl" Amy Fleming at a place called Heartland to see if she can help. At this point I would try just about anything or any one to help my horse.

And just like that a few day later I was pulling into Heartland, as I was pulling to a stop an older gentleman who was about to ride off gave me a smile, and wave, I reciprocated. Getting out of the truck a young brown haired guy came walking out of the barn, coming over to me.

"Hi" I said with a smile

"Hey, how can I help you?" He asked with a smile

"My name's Jolene I'm here to see Amy Fleming about my horse" I said looking over at my trailer

"Oh ya for sure I'll go grab her for you, my name's Ty by the way" He said as he headed for the house

Heading to the back of my trailer I began to unload Moon as I finished tying her to the trailer a red truck came bareling into Heartland, pulling up next me. A tall blond handsome man got out, he looked rough around the edges until he looked at me with a goofy smile which let me know he had a kind heart.

"Hey I'm Caleb" He spoke coming over us

"Jolene" I spoke trying to keep the conversation to minimum

"You here to see Amy?" He asked petting Moon

"Yup" I said going to grab her a carrot from out of the trailer

"So whats this girls name" He asked

"Moon" I said breaking the carrot into 3 pieces before feeding it to her

"So what do you do?" He asked but before I could respond a blond girl and Ty came from the house

"Hi I'm Amy" She spoke reaching out her hand

"Hi I'm Jolene and this is Moon" I said shaking her hand

"She's beautiful so what seems to be the problem?" She asked

"Well she was fine up until about a month ago, we've been on the circuit competing on barrels and poles and she was doing great when one day she stopped listening to queus, rearing when we would get close to the barrels amongnst other things" I said trying not to acknowledge Caleb staring

"Can you show me?" She asked

"Ya sure I'll get her ready" I said

"Alright we'll set up the arena while you do that" She said before they walked away

Unlocking the side of the trailer where I kept my tack I started getting her ready I really hope she's able to help Moon otherwise I don't know what I'll do. Once we're ready I hoped on Moon, got her ready to run before heading over to where to 3 stood.

"Alright just do whatever you would normaly do I want to see everything" Said Amy as she stood on the railing

"Alright, when I nod I'm ready" I said adjusting myself in the sadle before taking a deep breath

Looking down at the boys I gave them a nod and they swung open the gates and Moon did like she was suppose to. But the minute she got close to a barrel she started to back up and rear when I finally got her around the firt barrel she did the same at the next and the next. At the last barrel she decided to buck which she's never done before, it took us what seemed like forever to just get out of the round pen.

"You ok?" Asked Ty as I jumped off Moon

"Oh ya it wouldn't be the first time I got bucked" I said giving him a smile

"So do you think you'll be able to help?" I asked turning to Amy

"Sure I'd love to see what I can do, once your done Caleb will put her in a stall" She said with a smile

Bringing Moon back to the trailer Caleb followed close behind once I got her tied up I started to untack her, Caleb started to help.

"That was pretty amazing how you handled that" He spoke as I finished putting everything away

"Like I said it's not the first time I've been bucked" I said giving him a small smile

"So you said you were on the circuit" He said with a joyful look

"Ya trying to work my way up the ranks and make a name for myself" I said shutting the trailer doors

"So am I" He said how ironic

As hard as I didn't want to like Caleb there was just something different about him that was hard to ignore.

"How long you in town?" He spoke as we walked Moon to the barn

"As long as it takes to fix Moon" I said as he put Moon in a stall

"Where are you staying?" He asked shutting the door

"Don't know yet was going to ride into town and try to find a place, unless you know somewhere" I asked looking at him

"I know this will seem a little forward but how about you stay at my old trailer it'll be cheaper then the motel, I'm staying in the loft right now" He said looking down on me as he stepped closer I hadn't really noticed the height difference until now

"Ya sure that would work for me" I said looking up at him trying not to get flustered

"You're probably tired I'll bring you over now" He said as we walked back to our trucks

Getting in to our own trucks I followed him to the trailer which wasn't to far from Heartland, it was smile on a small piece of property but it was quaint with a great view. I've seen and slept in worse places and when I say that I mean my truck.

"So are you doing anything tonight?" He asked as he helped unpack my truck

"Not that I know of" I said as he unlocked the trailer door and we put my stuff inside

"Let me take you out tonight" He said getting closer to me, oh god I could barely think with him this close

"Um sure" I said trying to act cool but my heart was thumping

"6:30 work for you?" He asked with that smile taking off his hat

"Perfect actually" I could barely get the words out

"See you then" Giving me a wink and walking out the door

What in the heck just happened I just told myself that I wasn't going to get involved with anyone, I haven't dated since the accident 2 years ago, I hope I'm not making a mistake.
