The time seemed to fly by, as I was finishing my make up I heard a car pull into the gravel drive way, as I looked at out the window I seen that it was Calebs truck. Slipping on my heels I grabbed my purse before heading out the door where Caleb was leaning agaisnt the side of the truck with his goofy grin on his face. He was wearing a blue plaid shirt, a black cowboy hat, and cowboy boots, which made him look mighty fine.

"Right on time" I said with a laugh walking towards the truck

"What can I say I'm a sucker for time" He said following me to the passenger side of the truck

"Why thank you" I said as he opened the door for me

"You look really nice tonight" He said as he got into the truck

"So do you" I said looking over at him

Backing out we headed for town while we talked about rodeo the whole way I mean what else would we talk about. Pulling into a parking spot in front of a little diner, the sign read Maggie's, I slipped out of the truck before Caleb could open my door.

"Sorry I couldn't take us somewhere nicer" He said rubbing the back of his head

"We'll be the best looking people in there" I said trying to lighten the mood

Going inside we sat at a table near the window facing the street Calebs back was facing the counter. This is a cute little place we were making small talk when a blond waitress walked up to us.

"Hi how may I...." She stopped as soon as she seen Caleb and they locked eyes

"Ashley..." He said quietly

"Hi I'm Jolene" I said trying to break the akward tension

"What can I get you two" She asked in an almost rude tone slipping the menus onto the table

"Just a water for me" I said looking up at her with a smile, Caleb motioned that he'd take one to

"So what's that all about?" I asked as she walked away

"She's my uh...ex girlfriend" He mumbled the last part

"Ahh the dreaded run in with an ex on the first date, we can leave if you want to" I said putting my hand on his

"No way we're not letting her ruin this date, I just didn't think she was working today" He said with a laugh

For the rest of the night another brunette girl served us, who I found out is name's Jade who was a friend on Tim's, who's Amy's dad. He also owns a rodeo school and is an ex bronc rider which is pretty interesting. For the rest of the night we just enjoyed ourselves, laughing so hard it hurt, this man made me feel like I was the only girl in the world, I could see ud becoming a thing. Almost two hours later we decided to leave and head back to the trailer, when we arrived he walked me to the door like a true gentlemen even if it was only 20 steps.

"I had a great night" I said looking up at him

"Me to" He said closing the space between us as he put his hand on my waist pulling me in until there was no space between us I could feel my cheeks heating up

Slowly he leaned down placing his lips on mine they're warm and soft but the kiss was strong and passionate which was nice. When he pulled away he walked to his truck got in turned the truck on but before he pulled away he rolled down his window.

"I better see you at Heartland tomorrow" He said with a wink

"You might" I said with a sly smile trying not to let him know he got to me

He waited for me to get into the trailer before he pulled out of the yard, when I shut the door behind me I leaned back agaisnt it slidding down it. No one has made me feel butterflies like this in like ever.

Next Day

As I started waking up I rolled over grabbing my phone the bright screen read 5:45 AM, getting up I rummaged through the cupboards looking for food. Of coarse there was nothing I'll have to go into town later to pick some stuff up, because mornings withought coffee is not right. Getting ready I headed into town before heading to Heartland to pick up breakfast, coffee and muffins for everyone. It didn't take long before I was pulling into the Heartland yard, when I looked over Amy was working with Moon and Ty was watching.

"Hey how's everything going?" I asked walking up climbing onto the pen

"Ok I guess just trying different exercises to find out what's wrong" Said Amy of coarse the minute I'm not on her she doesn't seem bothered

But like a flip of a switch she started flipping out near the barells again I knew it was to good to be true. When I looked around to see if there was something I hadn't noticed before and now there's a dog I hadn't noticed before. Which made me remember there was an aggresive dog that had gotten loose during one our last runs and tried to attack her. I had completely forgotten about that, I was just so focused about if she was injured or not.

"Hey Amy I think I may know what's going on" I said as she tried to calm Moon down

"There was an aggresive dog that had gotten loose during our run, I was so focused on if there was injuries I didn't think about the mental aspect and there's always dogs around at rodeos" I said as she rode Moon over

"That would explain it, I'll do my best to correct it" She said with a smile

"Thanks Amy" I said as Ty and I got down from the fence

We started for the barn I wanted to help as much as I could while I was here, when a young blond came running up beside us.

"Hi I'm Mallory your Jolene right?" She said in a chipper voice

"Nice to meet you Mallory what are you up to today?" I asked with a laugh wow news really fot around here

Then she started going on a tangent about all the things she had to do for the day and how there was no one to help her.

"Ya know what let me help you out" I said looking at her

"You would really do that?" She said with a huge smile

"Ya sure I don't mind getting a little dirty" I said with a smile

So we split up her chores and she showed me where I could find everything I'd need. My chores went by pretty quick so I went to check if I could help Ty with any of his stuff. It felt good to be put to work again and for what seemed like really good people.
