It felt good to get up and trick ride again, it also felt good to be able to be able to help Georgie practice her skill. Supper time rolled around and we put Pheonix away and went inside to eat I was now prepared to talk about the inevitable.

"Looks good Lou" I said sitting down at the table

"Thanks, so whats this I hear about your mom and dad being the infamous Derrick and Isabella Carr" Said Lou, I smiled and looked around the table everyone looked away rubbing their heads

"By the time I was 13 I could jump a meter 40 and by the time I was 16 I was jumping 2.40 m and on the way to the Grand Prix my dad was always pushing me harder and harder and at the end it was just not fun anymore all I really wanted to do was trick ride but my dad wouldn't let me because it was to dangerous, the minute I turned 18 I was out on the circuit trying to make a name for myself that didn't involve my dads help" I said in one long winded sentence

"Well I'd love to learn a few things from you that's for sure" Said Georgie

"Me too" Said Mallory

"Ya I'd love to pick your brain about training and riding techniques" Said Amy

"I would love to but right now I would love to dig into this food more" I said with a laugh

Supper went through with little conversation luckily the topic shifted from me to someone or something else. Caleb and I stuck around for a little while after supper to talk and finish up any last minute work things.

The Next Day...

We showed up to the ranch at the normal time, hopping out of the truck we went our separate ways,a few hours later a Brier Ridge truck pulled up with a trailer attached. Another car pulled up next to it and Val Stanton jumped out, I knew her from when I was younger, lets just say I wasn't her biggest fan. Before I could get far enough away I heard her voice pick up.

"Jolene Carr is that you?!" She said in her chipper tone

"Val nice to see you" Slowly turning around and walking over to her

"I heard you were at Heartland but I didn't want to believe that the prodigal daughter fell from grace to become a ranch hand" She said with her typical Val smile

"Well here I am Val" I said putting on my best smile

"Hey Val whats going on?" Asked Amy coming up from behind me

"Well this guys is why I'm here his name is Georgia Lightning" Said Val as a stable hand brought out a beautiful white horse

"He's beautiful" I said

"To bad he won't jump he was an award winning meter forty jumper, he got hurt a few months ago and now he will barely go near an oxer and no one at Briar Ridge can seem to do anything" She said

"Well I can see what I can do" Said Amy

"Actually I'm not here for you I'm here for her" She said pointing at me

"Oh no Val that's Amy's area of expertise and like you said I'm just a stable hand" I said through my teeth before turning around to walk away

"Wait hold on we can work together on this can't we?" Said Amy before I could get to far

"And how would that work?" Asked Val as I came back to join the conversation

"Well I'd like to team up with you with our combine expertise I think we could do great things" She said

"Well if that's ok with Val its ok with me" I said looking between them

"Well it's not what I was expecting but if you can fix him then go for it" She said

"Then let's do it" Said Amy we shook her hand and I took him one of the back pens, as Val and Amy worked out the details.
