When Harry first saw the small mark on his chest, near his heart, he thought that something was wrong with him. The mark was a pair of red eyes wrapped in cloth. He was deeply confused, how did that get there? Was his first thought. His next thought was that it looked cool! When he asked his aunt about the mark, she looked at him with disgusted eyes then told him that he was a freak and to never ask again. And if he did he would be beaten for it. His aunt always said that. To never ask unordinary questions. If he did, he would be whipped by his uncle. He was a quiet child who didn't want to cause trouble for his aunt or uncle, so he didn't fight back; even when they said horrible things. He knew that they could easily overpower him and he didn't want to get hurt. He knew he was small compared to the other kids in his class. He always felt alone being in a house with people who hurt him and never gave him any love. He always hoped that the mark meant that someone was out there for him, to keep him company, listen to all his stories, and most of all, love him.

Harry was turning eleven when Hagrid came to give him his Hogwarts letter and go get his things he would need for school. When the got to the Leaky Cauldron, Harry and Hagrid took a seat at a nearby table and got a pint of butter beer. Harry thought that it was a nice beverage to have and thought he was extremely lucky he got to try it because his relatives never let him have an soda or juice, just water and so he appreciated the drink a lot more. People were staring at Harry and that prompted him to ask Hagrid why they were, that led Hagrid to tell him about his scar and his parents, he was glad that his aunt was lying when she said that his parents were drunks and killed themselves in a car accident, though he was slapped for asking afterwards. Since Hagrid knew about his parents it led to Harry asking him why there was a mark on his chest. Hagrid went on to explain that a long time ago, Mother Magic made soulmates because the magic was dying out and that if you found your soulmate you would have a magical child, no matter what, even if the other person was a muggle. Harry went on to ask what a muggle was, Hagrid explained that it was a non-magical being. Hagrid continued to explain that you could have other species as a soulmate. An example is a Veela and a wizard. Many wizards or witches get creatures inheritances when they came of age, around 16-17, since a lot of magical beings we're having different species of soulmate and resulted in half-breeds an example is half Veela- half wizard. You could also have a same sex pairing and still get pregnant. Harry was ecstatic that he would have someone that would take care of him. Hagrid didn't want to tell him that wizards and witches rarely meet their soulmates now a days, so he kept quiet. Harry then asked Hagrid if he had a creatures inheritance, Hagrid wouldn't know because he wasn't a Potter or an Evans, so he suggested that when they go to Gringotts and get an inheritance test. Harry was a bit nervous because he didn't want the inheritance of a troll, if there even was trolls in the Wizarding world, but he marched on.  When they finally decided on where to go first, Hagrid paid the bill, with Harry thanking him profusely, and went out back with barely enough space for the two of them! And Hagrid tapped the brick wall with his wand and the wall opened up to an alley filled with people! Harry looked around in awe of what he was seeing, shops lined up on either side of the alleyway and people running errands and window shopping with their child or children. He saw some kids smashed their faces against a window to get as close as possible to what they wanted badly. Harry saw the sign, Quality Quidditch Supplies, and thought, whats Quidditch? Hagrid was still walking, and Harry being shorter than him had to run to catch up. When they made it to Gringotts, Harry was amazed by building itself. It was pure white, what taller than any of the shops in Diagon Alley, which he just found out the name of the narrow alley by the sign near Gringotts which was also the intersection between Diagon and Knockturn Alleys, it had pillars in front of the entrance to the bank and guards, guarding against thieves. Though the sign in front of the bank was warning enough without the guards, as it read, "Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn.
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there."

It was very intimidating, was Harry's last thought before entering the bank.

A/N:Let it be known that Harry didn't know anything bout the wizarding world, so he wouldn't know if trolls, dragons, and unicorns existed. Please correct me if I'm wrong, your insight is much appreciated.
