nesaela was raised to follow the faith of the seven, as the royals of southern descent did: worshipping the father, the mother, the maiden, the crone, the warrior, the smith, and the stranger. though she never had much belief in them, nessie often prayed to the new gods when she was in times of trouble or crisis. she learned the holy texts, the gods' hymns and prayers, and often sang "The Mother's Hymn," which rhaella used to sing to her as a child. she began to reject the faith more and more upon realising the faith condemned same-sex love.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍-represents purity, love, chastity and beauty. she is prayed to to protect a maiden's virtue and keep young girls safe. depicted as a beautiful, innocent- looking young woman.
