𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍, 𝐒𝐄𝐋Û𝐍𝐄—the
faerûnian goddess of the moon from the
role-playing game dungeons and dragons.
she was motherly, tranquil and embracing;
at other times weighed down by sadness
and tragedies; and at other times, she was
fierce and aggressive. also known as our
lady of silver, and she who guides. she has
the power of divination: allowing her to
predict the future, interpret dreams, learn
long-forgotten secrets, and discover hidden
things.

sar is referred to as the moonmaiden
by dustin due to her powers having
an eerily similar resemblance to the
goddess', and sar's love for the moon
and night sky.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐒—in sar's life, stars have
an important significance. when she was
growing up in the lab, her fellow experiment,
lune, chose to draw stars on the ceiling that
the other children could wish upon. they
came to be a symbol of hope for sar, and
now she cannot sleep comfortably without
having a set of stick-on-stars covering the
ceiling. she often looks to the stars and
night sky for answers, or when she's in
need for motivation.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐘𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖—though
it is peculiar for a colour to have such a
great impact on one's life, such is the case for
sara. yellow was lune's favourite colour, and
simply seeing it brightens sar's day. she
wears a hint of it in every outfit she wears:
whether it's nail polish, eyeshadow, socks
or shoelaces, sweaters or pinafores, sar
simply can't go without it. others begin to
associate her with the colour so strongly
that by simply seeing it around them
reminds them of her.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐈𝐗—sar's number in
hawkins lab was six, and she has 006
in a permanent tattoo on her wrist. this
is constantly referenced by other characters,
as the other children used to call her by
that name, and hopper changing their
main walkie channel to 006.

𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐒—as the dreamwalker, sar is
heavily associated with dreams and
nightmares. chances are, if you have a
dream, sar has already glimpsed it. she
has a habit of wandering through
people's dreams when she can't sleep;
and constantly wakes up during intervals
of each night to make sure her friends
aren't having nightmares. if they are,
she'll stop them immediately, and
create nicer, calmer dreams.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐊𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐄—though
this object originally belonged to two
(emma), it has been passed down through
the hopper family and sar often plays with
the pendant around her neck. when wearing
it, she practically refuses to ever take it off. it
was recently given to her by katie.

𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐑—it might seem silly, but one of
the most important things to sar is her hair.
it's a symbol that shows she no longer
belongs to the lab, and therefore it's
incredibly important to her. she feels like
it defines who she is.

𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐑'𝐒 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐓𝐈𝐄—the hair tie
that hopper originally wore around his wrist
in the first season was sara's from when
she was a child. after she finds her father
again, he gives it to her to wear and use.
when not in her hair,it can be found on her
wrist. it slowly becomes a beacon of hope
to her after the events of moonmaiden
act three, as it reminds her that she still
has a family to fight for, and that
she's loved.
