Cole opened the double doors to reveal a very freighting EMPTY dojo.
"Well... that was anticlimactic." Kai said
"I guess we made a big fuss for nothing." Misty said
they walked to the back of the dojo where it appeared to be a shrine to Sensei Yang the candles were glowing green and there were four golden swords hanging on the wall.
"Sensei's Yang's dojo... This is where he must have trained his pupils." Kai said
"Or got rid of them.." Jay said with a gulp
"Knock it off guys if that wasn't you behind the rattling door, who was it?" Cole said
All of the ninja replied "The ghost of Sensei Yang!"
Yang's voice then rang through the room. "As iron sharpens iron, Sensei sharpens student."
All of them screamed. " IT'S THE GHOST OF SENSEI YANG!"
"Uh guys what does he mean by "sharpen?" Jay said and they saw that the swords were rattling on the wall.
"Let's not hang around to find out!" The swords lifted up from the wall and aimed for the Ninja "Let's get out of here!" Cole shouted. They ran out the door of the room and slammed the door shut the swords flew into the closed door.
The ninja ran down the hall bats flew behind them and Yang's laughter filled the house rattling the pictures on the wall.
"Does this mean he doesn't want to teach us Airjitzu?!" Jay yelped
"What do you think!" Misty shouted
"Forget Airjitzu where's the window?" Kai shouted
" this way!" Cole said they ran to the window but it was boarded up. Kai and Zane tried to pull the boards off.
"We're caged in like animals!" Jay screamed
Yang's laughter seemed to grow louder.
"Let's try the front door!" Cole shouted
"But that's downstairs and in case you haven't paid any attention, there's flying weapons trying to slice and dice us!" Kai said
"THERE'S A DUMBWAITER!" Zane shouted and pointed to it.
"Hey watch who you're call..." Jay began to say but then he spotted what Zane was pointing too "Oh a dumbwaiter that can take us down!" Jay said
Soon the ninja were pilled in the dumb waiter Kai and Jay were lowering the rope.
"You said there'd be enough room for all five of us in here." Cole said
"MY CALCULATIONS ARE ALWAYS CORRECT!" Zane shouted
"Ow my ear." Cole complained "Turn on a light or something cause I can't see a thing."
Zane's eyes glowed brighter and they saw the ghost of Sensei Yang inside the waiter with them his voice said.
"As iron sharpens iron...."
All of them screamed As soon as the waiter hit the ground they burst out of it and ran away.
The swords flew a them and slammed into the wall as the ninja turned the corner to the door.
"As iron sharpens iron, sensei sharpens student!" The ghost said and he came floating toward them as Cole and Kai tried to get the door open.
The door flew open and the ninja fell out they grabbed onto the door. Misty was hanging on to Jay's foot. They were above a swirling vortex.
"Oh what is it! What's down there?!" Jay screamed
"I don't know you want me to let go and check!" Misty shot back holding onto Jay's foot.
"Oh, wait don't tell me I don't want to know!" Jay said
"WE APPARED TO BE TRAPPED WITHIN SOME KIND OF INTER-DIMENSIONAL ETHERAL REALM!" Zane shouted
"Oh I told you not to tell me Zane! Knowing that just makes things worse!" Jay shouted
Zane pulled up Cole who then pulled up Kai followed by a shouting Jay and then Cole pulled up Misty.
Yang's laughter rang through the halls as if it were teasing the ninja.
The ninja ran back into the study.
Cole sighed nervously. "All right so there's no way out of the haunted temple, but at least the commotion's died down."
"Yeah we just gotta get through the night together show Yang we're not scared.
Misty was standing near the fire place she had her arms wrapped around herself.
The clock chimed.
All of them jumped.
"I-it's just the clock we're not afraid of time, but we are afraid of not getting out of here in time. OH MY GOSH WHY DID WE SPEND THE NIGHT IN A HAUNTED TEMPLE!" Cole shouted
"EVERYONE GET AHOLD OF YOURSELEVES EVEN IF MY VOLUME WASN'T STUCK, I'D STILL BE YELLING AT THIS DECIBEL!" Zane shouted
"Zane's right what are we doing we need to toughen up we're ninja, we already missed out on the Airjitzu the first time we can't let this opportunity pass!" Cole said
"Uh guys are paintings supposed to move?" Kai said there was a painting of a ship on a rough sea it was moving.
Jay walked over and knocked on it. Water and fish started spilling out.
"Why would you touch the scary picture Jay!" Cole said
"I didn't know it would do that Cole!" Jay shouted back
Kai ran for the door of the study.
Misty wasn't exactly paying attention to what was going on she was staring into the green flames in the fire place. She missed Lloyd not just because she loved him, but because he knew how to lead the group in a way that it made everyone better, When Morro took Lloyd he didn't just take someone she loved he took someone who always helped her see there was always a solution to a problem. She snapped out of her thoughts when she felt water splash against her foot." She turned on the ninja and shouted "What did all of you do now!"
Kai tried opening the door but it was locked.
"Sensei's Yang's voice said "As iron sharpens iron, Sensei sharpens student!"
"Oh great! back for round two!" Jay said
Kai was panicking he feared water.
"WE'RE ALL GONNA DROWN!" He shouted the water had gotten to a point where it lifted the ninja off they're feet.
Jay was holding onto a desk.
"It's all in you head Kai. he's trying to scare us out so we don't get Airjitzu."
Cole broke the surface and pulled Misty up with him.
"I don't know it tastes pretty real to me." Cole said
Misty was struggling keeping her head above the surface.
"WHERE'S KAI!" Zane asked
Kai was still under water and had managed to open the door the water poured out of the study taking the ninja with it.
"We that wasn't refreshing." Kai said
"First the haunting then the water what's next?" Cole said
"That's it he is testing us don't you see? Cole's afraid of ghost, Kai's afraid of water!" Jay said
"As iron sharpens iron Sensei sharpens student he's making us face our fears!" Kai said
"Which means whatever he throws at us next, we have to face together and this time no running away." Cole said
"Or swimming away." Jay added
"Fine but times running out. and if we don't figure out a way of staying together none of us are gonna get out alive." Kai said
