You leaned back against the headboard of your king sized bed, tracing  patterns on your exposed leg while flipping through the TV channels absentminded.

You couldn't help but notice the high end decor of the large room, shiny black obsidian counters and a large window that looked out over the Manhattan Skyline which was especially beautiful at night.

You'd been recruited from the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D to stay at the Avengers Tower part time as a partial member of the team. You were already good friends with most of the Avengers and due to your abilities as an Empath. [Someone who can feel/ alter another beings emotions]

You were wearing an oversized white T-shirt that hung just below your hips and no bra with your
[h/l, h/c] tossed into a messy ponytail and you were chilling watching tv when you heard a knock at the door.

"Come in!" You responded vocally, sitting up against the back of your bed frame and dimming the lights on so that the room was no longer dark when a tall frame entered from the doorway. You could tell from the way the light reflected from their left arm that it wasn't normal. The figure entered, attractively long brown tussles of hair that framed a pair of icy blue eyes. He walked over and sat on the edge of your bed cordially. "I'm Bucky, I heard we had a new recruit coming today so,,, I decided to introduce myself." He explained with a deep resonant voice.
He had balanced himself on the bed with his metallic arm and had the other placed on his thigh and had a daringly charming yet subtle smile plastered on his face.

Immediately a quiet hum of your power began at work, normally you could control it and use it when you wanted to, but you decided to let it unfurl and see what you could gather about Bucky, since he seemed equally as mysterious as he was attractive.
It wasn't long before you gathered 3 painstakingly detailed  emotions from him.

1.He felt comfortable around you, and you got the feeling that was rare for him with anybody he'd just met.

2. He wasn't very open with many people, he seemed friendly now, which was unusual for him. So he must've felt connected with you somehow.

3. There was a constant, hum of hollowed sadness and, something you couldn't quite explain. Like a constant torture of a loss of emotion, almost like he was always trying to drown out the hollow feeling with fake emotion.

Weird.... I like it.

You thought abruptly, beginning to introduce yourself.
"Nice to meet you Bucky.. I'm Y/N." You extended out your hand for him to take it, smiling kindly when he did.
"Pretty name for a pretty woman." He stated light heartedly with a laugh, although it seemed like he regretted saying it almost as soon as he did.
Nervousness.
You felt it radiating from him, and while you couldn't figure out exactly why, you felt that he enjoyed the emotion very much.
His blue eyes looked away, only for a moment, but then they were back on you.

He wants something.

But he was too shy to ask, or at least that's what it seemed like.
"I haven't known you for long Bucky, but I can tell that you didn't just come here to introduce yourself to me." You said out of the blue, hoping it would give him the push he needed to ask for whatever it was.
