It's Showtime

~Danny's POV~

RING RING RING I hear my phone go off I check it and see Seb's name I hesitate in answering it as I was pretty busy tutoring Puck and leaning some new dance steps Puck looks over as my phone "answer it you've been helping me since we arrived take a brake I got this" Puck tells me I smile "you mean you want a rest" I tell him he laughs "cart hide much from you" he says and stretches I roll my eyes "5 minutes" I tell him he nods and sighs as I walk out the room and press answer on my phone "hay Princess just wanted to see how things where going" Seb says as I sigh "been better" I tell him "whats wrong?" he asks me "well Mesades is sick, Mr. Shu wants me in trouble tones, Iv just had to learn a whole new dance and song, plus im trying to help Puck study for his exam next week, and my legs hurt as we've been practicing for 3 hours with no brakes" I tell him and roll my shoulders "its going to be fine I know you can do it..." Seb says but I stop listening as I hear fighting back in the room that didnt sound good "I have to go" I tell him and hang up running in only to see Sam and Puck fighting what is with the guys and fighting? "wow wow wow guys stop" I tell them and stand in the middle trying to keep them apart but I wasn't doing the best job as I was only small Mr. Shu runs in backing me up "whats this all about?" he asks them "we're practicing our asses off and hes here taking up Danny's time with studying he hasn't even practiced himself yet!" Sam yells I place my hands on Sam's chest calming him down slightly as Mr. Shu held Puck away "Cause I already know the dance! You dance like you got your feet caught in bear traps. You're trying to gnaw them off" Puck yells back as Mr. Shu keeps holding him back "Mr. Shu, are you aware that while we're arguing about jazz squares, Unique is being handed the key to the city by Rahm Emanuel?" Kurt asks I look at him shocked "really?" I ask as Kurt nods "And plus my pillow and my blanket fell into the pool. Disaster" Brit adds on while looking out the window "how?" I ask her she just shrugs that was not helpful "Look, I think everybody is just a little tired. We've been rehearsing for three straight hours" Artie tells everyone "Yeah, and we'll rehearse all night if we have to We can rest after we've won!" Finn says the stress getting to him as well "Just because we've lost Mercedes doesn't mean we can be anything less than perfect. Perfect!" Rachel says witch kicks off another argument I grown as Sam trys getting at Puck again "hay" Santana says trying to get everyones attention I take a deep breath and whistle making everyone go quite and look at me "go on Santana" I tell her she smiles and nods "I don't want to hear any of this, 'We can't do it without her' because guess what? We don't have a choice. So be warned: if you are not giving this everything you've got, I will go all Lima Heights on your sorry asses" Santana tells everyone I nod agreeing with her we needed our heads back in the game "Listen to yourselves" Mr. Shu says looking at us all "I know. I'm sorry. I always go to the yelling place. I have rage" Santana tells us I side hug her "No, it's a good thing. A great thing. There is so much passion in this room Even all your arguing, it's about the work. You guys really want this. Okay, so let's take a half-hour break, and then we'll run it from the top" Mr Shu tells us but Tina jumps in "Mr. Shu, is it okay if we keep going? We got the first slot, which is, like, the death slot. We have to be amazing" she tells him I see where shes coming from but im going to die if I dont have a brake soon "Yeah, 'Edge of Glory's' a bitch. I said I'd be dancing by nationals. I'll be damned if I don't" Quinn adds "Okay, then let's keep going. Mike, help the guys out with the choreography. Artie help Puck with his geography Ladies, Edge of Glory Come on. Brittany, run us through it" Mr Shu tells her she nods and jumps to it I grown when Rachel walks over "hay want to get some air with me?" she asks I nod "so very much" I tell her making her laugh as we walk out of the room and head outside feeling the cool air makes me relax instantly "god I needed this" I tell her making her laugh "I could tell if you stayed there any longer I think you would go gray" she tells me making me laugh I place my head on her shoulder as we walk suddenly my phone goes off again I check it and see its Seb so I pick up "sorry for hanging up on you so suddenly like that I just..." im cut off "turn around" is all he says I do and spot him I smile and run over hugging him he hugs me back "hi Sebastain" Rachel greets him as she walks over smiling he smiles at her "hay Rachel" he says back making me smile "what are you doing here?" I ask him "well since the Warblers are taking a little brake we desided to cheer on our little song bird" Seb says smirking and placing his hand on my hip where my tattoo was I giggle "wait we?" I ask confused when somthing covers my eyes "guess who?" I hear Trent's voice say I smile turning around seeing said guy with Nick "miss us?" Nick asks I nod and jump into there arms "I really did" I tell them happy that they came as mum and dad couldn't "well well well Rachel and Danny what are you looking for what's left of your dignity?" I hear the annoying voice of Jessie say I turn seeing him "looking for the rest of that hairline?" I growl back at him making Nick, Trent and Seb laugh "Nice to see you, too, Jessie" Rachel tells him stopping me from biting his head off "If I were you, I'd be spending more time working on how you're gonna wrap up fourth place than looking for her. There's no way in hell Carmen Tibideaux's coming here" Jessie tells Rachel pissing me off ye Rachel told me about all this plan she had and I had all the faith she would turn up "and how do you know about Carmen?" I ask him folding my arms "It's my business to know everything that goes on with my competition speaking of didnt the Warblers lose why are you here?" Jessie asks Sebastain, Nick and Trent oh he did not just pick a fight with them Jessie steps up to Seb who was taller then him "are you trying to intimidate me because if so your failing just like your group" Seb says going into his cold mode I use to hate it but when hes on my side it hot "I mean you lost all your wow factor just like you lost the ability to see your own feet" Seb tells him with a smirk oh no "The dynasty will live on" Jessie tells him "no 'the dynasty' is long dead your going to lose and be humiliated" Seb snaps I place my hand on his cheek "ok down boy" I tease an he does as told "look ill admit what you did with Unique was amazing..." he cuts me off "It was a pretty inspired idea of mine" he tells me acting cocky "it was actually my idea as I got him everything he wore and he came to me for help so you know" I tell him back when Rachel places her hand on my shoulder "down girl" she teases making me laugh but I do as told "But I implemented it...I don't know. I just think these new rules are messing with my head; 33% of the numbers have to be vintage? What does that even mean? The only thing vintage about me is my Tyrone Powers haircut and my pager" Jessie says now looking back at Rachel I roll my eyes"Are you forgetting who you are, Jesse, okay? Your Bohemian Rhapsody was, like, the benchmark performance of every show choir competition in the past ten years" Rachel says "well..." the Warblers all mutter making me laugh "Most people don't realize I lost ten pounds during that performance" Jessie says "You guys are gonna do great today" Rachel says but I jump back in "but we're definitely gonna beat you" I tell him Jessie smiles "you've really come out of your shell since I last hung out with you...I like it" Jessie says Seb grabs me and pulls me back into his arms "back off I already have enough trobble with Sam I dont need you" Seb says coldly but I didnt mind much "Hey, everything okay?" I hear Finn's voice call and walk over he looks at Jessie "oooo this is so awkward we're out" I tell him and push the Warblers away "why?" Nick asks "Rachel and Jessie use to date and now shes engaged to Finn" I tell him as I push them along "so you guys really came all this way to watch us?" I ask them "of cause your family" Nick tells me and wraps his arm around me I smile "and im your supportive boyfriend..."hes cut off by Trent "who wouldn't shut up about you and so he took the bus up here and we tagged along because I never thought id see him on a bus again" Trent says making me laugh "I dont believe he was on a bus" I tell them "look I got a photo" Nick says and shows me an annoyed Sebastain with Trent and Nick laughing as they sit on the bus "send me this" I tell them then look at the time "I better go ill be on in a few minutes" I tell them "Good luck" Seb says and pulls me into a kiss making me blush when we pull away I smile "we'll just wish you luck and leave the kissing to Seb" Nick tells me I nod "sounds good to me" I tell them and head in once in I get ready "All right, gather around, everyone! I just want to say a few words before we go out there" Mr Shu tells us and we all gather around smiling at one and other "Hold on, Mr. Shue. Hold on. You've given us a lot of pep talks over the years, but remember, you told us once that, you know, a teacher's job is done when his students don't need him anymore?" Finn asks him Mr. Shu nods "Okay. Finn, the floor is yours" he tells him "Last night we all sat around in a circle after you went to bed and we told stories. But then we went around the room, and everybody said what they wanted to win this thing for, and we all said the same thing: we want to win this for you. And I know every year at school Figgins gives away the Teacher of the Year award. But I don't think any of us have to wait to see how we feel about that. You're, like, our Teacher of a Lifetime" Finn says making me smile "Thank you, Finn, all of you. I love you guys so much" Mr. Shu adds I look at Finn "god its dorks like you that give me hope" I tease him "New Directions, line up All right, that's it. Show time. Hands in, everyone" Mr. Shu says we go to do it when "Now I know you weren't planning on doing the show circle without me" Mercedes says entering the room like nothing was wrong "your alive" I tease making her smile "Yeah, thanks to Sue. She's a miracle worker" Mercedes tells us then mouths 'crazy' at us "Oh, well, it's amazing what a little TLC, some cortisone and a witch doctor will do" Sue tells us "Thank God you're okay because that just means I'm not gonna fall on my face during that Trouble Tones number" Quinn tells her and it clicks "wait did I learn that dance for nothing!?" I yell my legs are killing me from learning that dance "Oh, screw that. This is our last time performing together. You're doing it, and so are you both I'm not taking no for an answer. Plus I have so many steroids going through my body right now, I may turn into the Incredible Hulk if you piss me off" she tells us making us all laugh "Okay, if we don't get out of this room soon, none of us will be performing" Mr Shu says and we all put are hands in and cheer before getting to our places "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 48th annual National High School Show Choir Competition brought to you in part by Salozy-Edison Chevrolet, where you always save more money! And Democratic City Councilman representing the new North Side and the West Loop corridor" the host tells everyone "oh god look at how many people are out there I feel sick" I mutter as I look out "hay your going to be fine" Santana tells me I nod "so glad I dont have a solo this time around" I tell her laughing she joins in I take one last look out and spot the Warblers I smile thank god they are here "Please welcome our first contestants, from William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio, the New Directions!" the host adds as all the girls get into place I take a deep breath
