Preface

The Prophet (ﷺ) says in a hadith, "Every child is born on fitra and then it is his/her parents that make him/her a Jew or Christian or a Magian".

At one point The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When a person dies, his deeds cease to exist. However, three deeds continue to exist: Ongoing Charity, Knowledge that is being benefited from and righteous children who supplicate for him/her".

Wasif Ali Wasif says, "Once the mind matures, it becomes difficult for it to alter and improve."

There is an Arabic saying, "Childhood learning is an engravement in stone."

The renowned columnist, Javed Chowdry, says, "Roots of every successful and unsuccessful person are affixed in his childhood."

Children are a great blessing of Allah and the actual value of this blessing can truly be appreciated by someone who is deprived of this blessing. One of the biggest reason for the failure of our children is that our parents and teachers lack the knowledge of upbringing children. This is the reason why a child cannot secure a job after getting high grades nor can he/she fight the real battle of life. He wastes his energy merely on the trivial issues of the neighborhood. The outcome of a good education and upbringing should come in the shape of the following:

1.     A successful person

2.     An obedient son/daughter

3.     A True Muslim (Momin/Believer)

4.     A Patriotic Pakistani

5.     A Good citizen etc.

But are we getting these results? Certainly not!

I am publishing this booklet for the guidance and personality development of children with the hope that this humble effort becomes a source of goodness and blessing for the parents and children, in this world and the hereafter.
