The Phantom of the Opera - A Voltron Fanfiction *Zeith*

Chapter One

The mask above is what Zarkon is wearing. Anyway, I was listening to the Phantom of the Opera and got this idea. I decided to write it down, so people could read it. I think it's good, but I tend to stary away from the plot. Please, tell me if you notice that. This is a Keith x Zarkon. It will go along with canon(to a point), so this will have Voltron. And, I will be adding the songs, too. Where ever I see fit. 

Itaclics will be Keith singing.

Bold will be Zarkon singing. 

Bold and Italics will be the both singing.

It was a silent night for the small Texas orphanage. All were sleeping, except for a young boy. 

This boy goes by the name of Keith Kogane. 

Keith always had a passion for singing and there was an old, rarely used opera house near the orphanage. So, each night after everyone had fallen asleep, he'd sneak out to the opera house. 

He snuck out with a smile on his face, quickly going to the house. 

He opened a secret passage way and climbed in. 

The opera house smelled old, but that's what Keith liked about it. 

Keith stood on the stage, closed his eyes, and started singing:

Think of me, think of me fondly

When we've said goodbye

Remember me, once in a while

Please promise me you'll try

When you find that once again you long

To take your heart back and be free

If you ever find a moment

Spare a thought for me

We never said our love was evergreen

Or as unchanging as the sea

But if you can still remember

We've shared and seen

Don't think about the way

Things might have been

Silent and resigned

Imagine me trying too hard

To put you from my mind

Recall those days

Look back on all those times

Think of the things we'll never do

There will never be a day

When I won't think of you

Flowers fade, the fruits of summer fade

They have their season so do we

But please promise me that sometimes

You will think of me

It was a little off-key, but that didn't bother Keith... or the being under the opera house.

Underneath the stage, this being was listening to this song.

'This boy has potential. He may be great, yet.' The being travled to the top, just behind the stage.

 Once the boy had finished, the being spoke, "That was really good. Do you practice often?" 

Keith whipped his head around. "W-who are you?" 

"You may call me whatever you'd like." The being said. 

"So, if I wanted, I could call you Phantom?" 

"If that is what you wish." 

"O-okay..." 

Keith smiled. "How long were you there? I didn't disturb you, did I?" 

"No, you didn't disturb me. I quite liked the song." 

"O-oh. I'm sorry. it's really horrible." 

"No." The Phantom spoke, "You have potential. If you'd like, I could give you some lessons. May I ask your name?" 

"It's Keith. Keith Kogane." 

"Pleasure to meet you, Keith." 

Keith looked down. 

"Um... C-can you really teach me?" 

The Phantom huffed a laugh. 

"Of course. I would not have offered otherwise." 

"Sorry, Phantom..." Keith mumbled. 

Then, he looked outside. 

Almost dawn. 

He turned back to Phantom. 

"I-I have to go. W-will you be here tomorrow?" 

The Phantom smiled beneath his mask. 

"Of course." 

Keith smiled. 

"I'll be back tomorrow, then. Please, wait for me." 

The Phantom took Keith's hand in his own, and brought it to his lips.

(He moved the mask a little for this. It's too dark for Keith to see his skin color.) 

"I'll be waiting." 

Keith blushed and nodded. 

Then, he turned and ran out of the opera house. 

A smile graced his face as he quietly went into the orphanage. 

He couldn't wait for tomorrow.

Well, that was the first chapter. How'd you like it? Was it good? (Hint:The answer is no.) Anyway, more is coming. This is a self-indulgent, so sorry if it sucks. The song Keith sang was Think of Me.

Just minus the vocals. He isn't that skilled yet.
