Hey!!!! Sorry for the long wait!!!! I had seriously long writer's block. Anyway, here's chapter four. Enjoy!!!!

Keith had grown closer to Shiro over the weeks. He had even met his boyfriend, Adam.

They said that they wanted to adopt him! So, that night, Keith went to the opera house.

"Phantom!"

He stopped.

"Phantom? Phantom, are you there?"

Keith looked around.

"Did I come at a bad time? .... Phantom.....?"

He wasn't answering.

Why?

Nevertheless, Keith stood on the stage, closed his eyes, and sang, hoping the Phantom would come later that night.

*The Next Day*

Keith didn't sleep that night. The Phantom hadn't come out at all.

So, he continued each night, but... it was always the same.

The Phantom wasn't coming.

Eventually, the time had come for Keith to leave the orphanage.

Shiro and Adam came to pick him up.

"Keith? What's wrong?" Shiro asked.

He knew about the phantom, so he didn't hesitate to tell him.

"The Phantom hasn't come out in days. I-I don't know what happened. I don't even know his name."

Shiro ruffled his hair. "Don't worry. I'm sure you'll meet him again."

Keith nodded sadly.

"Then, until I do, I'll keep singing! No matter what, I'll keep singing!"

Shiro smiled warmly. "That's what I'd hope you'd say."

Keith smiled and hugged him.

"Thank you!"

Then, Emily looked up at Keith.

"Are you leaving now?"

"Yeah."

"Will you come back?"

"I'll come for visits."

Emily looked down sadly.

"Do you think I'll get adopted?"

"Of course! You're the sweetest girl I know! You'll get adopted in no time at all."

Emily smiled and hugged Keith tightly.

"Emily, you're the oldest now. You gotta step up and help the little ones. Keep 'em out of trouble, ya hear?"

"Yes! I'll do everything! I'll make you pwoud!" She exclaimed.

Keith nodded. "I know you will."

A little later, Keith, Shiro, and Adam left, leading Keith to his new home.

Months passed in a blur.

Keith had joined the Garrison, singing whenever he could. Months became years and Keith was seventeen at last!

Unfortunately, that's when Shiro "died" in space.

Keith was devestated, losing yet another person important and dear to him.

He was booted from the Garrison and began to live in the desert.

Looking out at the sunset, Keith began to sing:

You were once my one companion
You were all that mattered
You were once a friend and lover
Then my world was shattered

Wishing you were somehow here again

Wishing you were somehow near

Sometimes it seem if I just dream
Somehow you would be here

Wishing I could hear your voice again

Knowing that I never would
Dreaming of you won't help me to do
All that you dreamed I could

Passing bells and sculpted angels

Cold and monumental
Seem for you the wrong companions
You were warm and gentle

Too many years

Fighting back tears
Why can't the past just die

Wishing you were somehow here again

Knowing we must say goodbye
Try to forgive teach me to live
Give me the strength to try
No more memories no more silent tears
No more gazing across the wasted years
Help me say goodbye.

Only when the moon was high did he stop. As he went to sleep, he wondered if he would see those two again.

*End Chapter Four* I hope you enjoyed it. Keith was singing about Zarkon, since he knows Shiro isn't dead. I changed the lyrics to fit the plot. Next chapter will take place in space since everything after the end of this chapter is canon. Next, adventures on the Castle of Lions! And, whatever Zarkon has been doing! Sorry for any mistakes. Ja ne!!!!
