"Em? Honey? Hellooo?" My mom said waving her hand in my face
"What! Oh! I'm sorry." I quickly said, getting out of my stare
"Honey why don't you go upstairs and clean up." My dad said
"Y-Yea." I said quickly running up to my room
I quickly grabbed my phone out my purse and called Nick.
Phone call with Nick...
Nick: "You just don't want to leave me do you."
Me: "NICK!"
Nick: " what? Why you breathing so hard? Is everything okay?"
Me: " so you know how that family has a son."
Nick: yeah and?"
Me: ITS BRANDON! there son is Brandon!"
Nick:" WAIT WHAT! so you are having dinner with the Arreaga!"

Nick :" em I don't want you to be around him. I'm coming to get you!"
Me:" nick no. I can't leave. My parents will kill me

I quickly got undressed and seen a outfit layed out on my bed already.

I finished getting ready and I took a couple deep breaths before I headed downstairs, as I was almost down the stairs, I realized...
"Did Nick just say he...he loved me! And did I just say it back!" I whispered to myself as I felt a huge smiled grow on my face
"Honey, you done yet" my mom Shouted
"Shit." I whispered because I realized BRANON IS IN MY FUCKING DINNING ROOM
I walked into the room and the only seat that was left was right. Next. To. Brandon. I felt so uncomfortable and all the memories rushed back into my head.
"So Emely, Brandon here plays football at your school, I'm surprised you haven't seen him around." My dad said cutting up his steak
"Yea...that's so crazy." I said between my teeth
1 hour later
Dinner was horrible, I felt his eyes on me and I just wanted to leave. I finally shoved my food down my throat.
"Thanks so much for the food mom, but if I may excuse myself." I Said with food in my mouth and getting up
"Actually sweetie, why don't you go show Brandon here, our new pool in the back." My dad suggested
"Oh-pshh-brandon doesn't want to see-" I Said trying to get out of it
"Actually, I would love to see the pool!" Brandon Said interrupting me
I looked at him and had a fake smile appear on my face
"Greatttt.." I said sarcastically
We walked out the back and then I felt Brandon grab my arm lightly.
"Don't touch me." I Said pulling my hand away
"Emely please I am so sorry just let me explain." Brandon Said and I could see in his eyes how hurt he was
"Fine, Hurry up." I Said crossing arms
"I never ever meant to hurt you I promise. When we were at my house that night and Edwin came over, you heard us talking about that stupid game." Brandon Said
"Yea and.." I Said curiously
"I never was playing that game, I swear. I just told him I was so he stopped bothering me about it, so I lied and said I had slept with all these girls when I didn't." Brandon Said
I then realized that Brandon was being honest and I felt really bad.
"Really." I asked
"Emely I would never lie to you, I was so happy to actually met you and have you and when I ruined that I was heartbroken. Just please forgive me. I miss hanging out with you and talking to you." Brandon Said taking my hands
I missed Brandon to so much, but only as a friend.
"I miss talking to you too and hanging out." I Said smiling at him
"Now things can go back to the way they were!" Brandon Said pulling my closer to him
"Brandon, we can be friends but nothing more." I Said pushing him gently away
"Okay, but I promise you I will change your mind." Brandon Said smirking at me as he went back inside
I just rolled my eyes and laughed at his joke.

"Okay I'll see you at school." Brandon Said leaving with his parents
After Brandon and his family left, I grabbed my phone that was on the table the whole time so I didn't have it with me this whole night. I got a call from Nick

Nick: "why didn't you respond to any of my calls or texts!"
Me: " sorry, nick look , Brandon and I talked and-
Nick: " wait what you are alone. With him!"
Me: " Well no, well I was and we talked it out and-
Nick: "Emely I told you I don't want him to be around you."
Me:" nick but we had to talk it out and we are all good so things can go back to the way they were!"
Nick: "great. So you can get back with Brandon since things can go back to the way they were!"

"He really just hung up on me. UGHHH!" I complained as I through my phone on my bed
