Hey guys just letting you know I have not seen the newest season of BNHA nor have I read any of the manga, so I don't know really anything about Hawks, so if he seems out of character I'm sorry. But hey it is fanfiction right?

I sighed looking up into the night sky.

Shouto should be home by now.

I felt guilt rise inside of me. Deku would be up waiting for me all night, and I had no way of contacting him. Not without setting off my new "partner".

I shot the bird a sideways glance. He was humming to himself as we sat in a van across the street from our target.

We were supposed to steal medical supplies for Overhaul's lab. He had explained that he found a way to put a quirk on pause so to speak.

He didn't show us what he meant or go into detail, but if there was another anti hero running around then we were in trouble. Especially because this one is getting work done.

If any more villains go missing there won't be many left in the area and Overhaul's next target might be my family. I gotta stay one step ahead of him at all times.

I glared at the bird beside me as he hummed happily to a tune.

It was fucking obnoxious.

I don't buy what this guy is selling. There's more to him than meets the eye. He's definitely hiding something.

"So I heard you were a fan of Stain's work. Is that why you're working for Overhaul?" Bird boy asked interrupting my thoughts.

I blinked several times allowing his words to register.

"I don't do small talk." I stated narrowing my eyes.

"Aw come on. It's way too quiet, and we've been here for a while already. If we're gonna be partners we should get to know each other." Bird for brains grinned like an idiot.

"I like silence, we are not partners, and no we shouldn't." My tone was flat.

Hawks pouted but perked up seeing that the clinic was now closed and empty.

"What's the plan for getting in?" Hawks asked but I was already slamming my door shut and strolling across the street.

"H-hey!" He called rushing after me. He cut me off in the alleyway beside the clinic.

"There could be surveillance. I'll fly to the roof use the access door up there come down and let you in the back door." Hawks spoke in an excited whisper.

I pursed my lips a moment and groaned internally.

Fuck, he makes a good point.

If I just broke the glass and unlocked the door as I planned then an alarm was sure to go off. That and he also had a fucking good point about the surveillance cameras.

Goddammit.

"How do you know there aren't any cameras up there? Maybe opening the roof access will trigger an alarm." I smirked knowing I had him there.

Hawks actually looked stumped.

"You may have a point, but if memory serves correct then most rooftops in public buildings are left unlocked due to fire hazard." Hawks pointed out.

"Knock yourself out." I folded my arms over my chest and leaned against the brick building behind me.

He unfurled his wings spreading them wide before taking off into the air. I grunted as his shadow disappeared leaving me alone in the ally with nothing but my own thoughts.
