DEKU

They killed her. They killed her.

I sat on the floor of my holding room. My forehead was pressed against the door. Tears rolled down my cheeks in mourning and anger.

I felt helpless. I couldn't save my family.

My family.

Dabi. Izuku. Eri.

I had to get to them. They could be in trouble. I couldn't save Toga, but I'd be dammed to the fiery pits of Hell if I wasn't going to do everything in my power to protect what is mine.

I shuffled to my feet and scanned my surrounding searching for another way out. There was always another way. Another angle.

As I searched frantically for another way out the sound of a door click reached my sensitive ears. I spun around facing the door ready to pounce. This may be my only chance to get out of here.

The door creaked open and the first shape I could make out in the darkness was a head. Light followed behind the figure as they stepped into the room.

Wincing I used my cuffed wrists to shield my eyes before they could adjust.

"Deku." A feminine voice called to me. I straightened my spine and tilted my chin to the side.

"Ah, it's only you. What do you want?" I sneered.

The brunette pressed her back against the door and folded her arms over her chest. She pursed her lips at me before sighing heavily.

"It doesn't have to be this way. We used to be friends." She spoke softly.

I snorted.

"Friends?" I laughed.
"Would a friend abandon another friend when they were in trouble and needed it most? What kind of friend betrays another?" I shook my head at her.
"No, you are no friend of mine. The only friends that followed me from my previous life are Shouto and Bakugou. Anything else from that life is long since gone. The Deku you knew is dead." I glared at her. She straightened taking on a defensive and scared pose.

I knew from the frightened look in her round eyes that my own were glowing. It should be impossible considering I was wearing quirk nullifying cuffs and a collar.

Then again my quirk isn't exactly mine. A lot of it is now generated through chemical poison my body produces to keep the electric strength I have from my quirk.

I guess I owe Almighty thanks for that.

"Scared?" I giggled.

"N-no. I'm not afraid of you. I just want to help you. I-I loved you once you know. It was a long time ago, but I never got over it. When you disappeared I made sure to become a pro hero just so I could find you. Just so I could bring you back to us. You are a hero Deku. It's in your blood. All Might-" Her words were cut off as a snarl escaped my lips.

"Don't say that bastards name in my presence!" I spat through my teeth.

She wisely clamped her mouth shut.

"Where is Bakugou and Shouto?" I asked her with malice thick in my voice. If she dared lie to me I'd cut out her tongue.

"I really don't know where they are. Look Deku if you cooperate then I can take you to your children. I just need you to-" Her words were silenced as I bellowed in rage.

"You. You took my children?!" My voice was shrill. Her eyes widened in fear. I could see the glow of my quirk against the walls and her frightened face.
