The next morning Yuna and Mark woke everyone up by sending an alarm to everyone's watches, Yuna using Jackson's watch. They agreed to switch places but only let the rest know the moment of departure so no protests could be made.

Yuna returned to her own room after which Mark lightly started to kiss Jackson to wake him up. He slowly opened his eyes and smiled when he noticed Mark's lips on his. He placed his hand on the back of Mark's head, deepening the kiss. Only for a while, they were the only people left on earth.

Unfortunately, they didn't have much time so they broke apart and got up. They were both quiet. Not knowing what to expect made this mission a lot more dangerous. Neither of them spoke but they knew it might not end as well as they hoped.

Jackson took a shower when Mark packed all his stuff he'd need for the mission, giving Jackson a little more time to relax before it all started. Not that he could feel relaxed with everything happening but it was a nice gesture.

He got out of the shower, got dressed and ate something. It was getting close to the appointed meeting time so he quickly got up and grabbed the bag Mark packed for him.

Before he left, he pulled Mark in for a hug. "Yi-en... You know I love you, right?" Mark pushed Jackson away. "Ka-yee. Don't you dare imply this is the last goodbye. You're coming back, you promised."

Jackson bit his lip. He knew he had to stay strong but he just couldn't help but feel uneasy. Nonetheless, he tried to smile. "No, I just wanted to say I love you."

Mark sighed. They've known each other for years and it wasn't hard to understand each other without using words.

They both smiled weakly, Mark knowing Jackson was talking as if this was their last goodbye and Jackson knowing Mark knew, even though he didn't want to accept it, this could be their last goodbye.

Jackson left to join the others but first stopped outside, leaning against the door of his room breathing hard to calm his heavy heart. While Mark shed tears, leaning against the other side of that same door.

When Wang entered the room of Vargov and the leader of the other team, everyone looked up. Yuna averted her eyes downwards, knowing the meaning of the weak smile Wang had flashed her while entering.

Before either of them could say anything Ethan spoke up. "Jackson, what are you doing here fully armoured?"

Yuna spoke up as fast as she could. "I asked him." Her voice wavered. "I didn't sleep last night. I think it might be better if I stay here."

Ethan laughed. "One night of not sleeping doesn't weigh all that much after our training though."

Not wanting to lash out, Yuna tried to stay calm. "It's not just one night." She knew it wasn't much of a reason, and Ethan was right, their intense training had prepared them for worse. But she couldn't help but feel offended.

Ethan came closer and pulled her a little to the side, holding her shoulder, a little too tight in her opinion. "I get it, you're upset they took your team leader, but don't you want to save him yourself? Protect him, make sure no one else screws up?"

Yuna's blood was boiling. She was more than upset. Yet she didn't let her guard down. The way he spoke to her creeped her out. He was trying to lure her into the mission using Kusege. 'If it wasn't about me, then why make such a big deal out of who comes along' she thought.

If he tried to use his dirty tricks on her, so could she so she burst out of tears taking hold of Ethan's shoulder. "I just.. I don't think I can do this." She sobbed as realistically as possible.
