Bold - Questions
Italicized - Answers1. ) is there a reason why most of your stories focus on angst?
I write books that are as dark as my soul (: No seriously, besides the fact that I love angst as a genre whether it's a book, a movie or a comic, I find angst the easiest to write. While I'm still not sure exactly why I keep on writing it, I know that I love doing it.
2. ) how did you manage your time writing stories along with other duties?
I'm the worst at managing time, so most of my books are actually written at late night hours or very early mornings, mainly at random times when I come to realisation that I'm free and done with my duties.
3. ) what did you do to recover from writer's block?
I didn't :") Writer's block is what keeps me from updating regularly, because I'm constantly changing plot twists, climax and endings which leaves me confused and unaware of my characters' next moves, so I usually keep on thinking it over and over again or writing it down. I'd love to say that a specific thing helps me but there isn't, so I often re-plot my books.
4. ) for you, what is Hidden's charms that made it to won the awards?
Honestly, I entered the awards with three books, and I had the lowest expectations for Hidden, so it was really a surprise that it won. However, I can say that what makes Hidden stand out is probably the ending, which makes the book seem like a never-ending loop that keeps readers thinking. There are way too much emotions in the ending thatㅡI heardㅡtouch the readers' hearts somehow and leave a strong impact. I, myself, am quite proud of how the ending turned out and was touched by my own writing (something that happens once every blue moon)
5. ) among your books, which is the one that you're most proud of and why?
Currently, my favourite book is Throne. My English writing skills have improved so much over the past few years, and it wasn't easy because it's not my native language. It's not only my grammar or vocabulary though. While writing Throne, I realised that I gained a new writing style, because my style changes with each book depending on the plot and settings, so I discovered something new, keeping in mind that it's my first time writing a historical fiction with several characters. The plot is not a cliché either, and I like the flow along with the characters' development. Although the book isn't complete yet, I am really looking forward to the ending and my Suga Cubes' feedback :3 P.S., I have a few drafts that I'm more proud of but I can't spoil, so please look forward to them
Thank you riseofsuga!
