For my next Metal Sirens chapter, I decided to write about Italian singer Nicoletta Rosellini.
Nicoletta is the currently the lead singer of two Italian metal bands: Kalidia (melodic power metal) and Walk in Darkness (symphonic/gothic metal). I recently started listening to both bands. Each one only has two albums so far, but they're all worth listening to.
I first discovered Nicoletta by listening to Walk in Darkness' first album In the Shadows of Things, and not long after that I listened to Kalidia's first album Lies' Device. They're both good albums, and discovering Nicoletta was a nice surprise. She has a warm, melodic contralto voice that you don't normally hear from female singers in metal. Kalidia and Walk in Darkness have different musical styles, but she sounds great with both of them.

In short, I would recommend both bands, and I think Nicoletta deserves more recognition for being a great singer!
