The screeching of the wheels of the cart echoed disturbingly through the halls. It was worse than nails on a chalkboard. But the people around didn't even seem to notice. They continued to march by, in time and on step. Their faces covered by their uniforms. The man pushing the noisy cart wasn't like the others, he was in a lab coat. Small glasses sitting on his nose. And the weirdest thing of all, a smile on his face. He turned down a long hall, where the door was being guarded by two soldiers. He gave them a clear nod as they opened the doors to the lab. He entered like he usually did, pushing his cart over to the metal table. Blood still stained the shiny reflective surface, from his last "procedure". He began to hum to himself, as he laid out his tools upon the cart. He was constantly unaware of the shadowy figure in the dark before it made itself known. It cleared its throat, almost giving the Doctor a heart attack.

He grabbed his chest turning in that direction. The figure took a few steps into the light. Her hands resting on her hips. "Doctor... it's so good to see you again." She hummed coldly.

"H- How d- did you get in here?" He stuttered frightened. He took a couple steps back as she slowly started to approach.

"I'm a highly trained assassin, daughter to Ras Al Goul, if I can't break into a government facility, then I'm not that good, am i?" She was standing a few feet from the doctor. He tried swallowing the lump in his throat but it just stayed stuck. He couldn't help the sweat dripping down his face, or stop his hands from shaking. He attempted to back away further, but ran into something, or someone, he didn't know was there. He quickly turned around to see a huge man that towered over him, his little eyes that came through his mask didn't show any signs of actual intelligence. He just grunted at the doctor.

"Now, Dr. Seiberlich, tell me, what have you been doing for the U.S. Government?" Talia asked curiously, her voice still low and threatening, as her hands traced over his sharp tools on the table.

"I - I- am continuing my vork, vith the genetic mutation." He fiddled with his hands as he spoke. Talia nodded, her eyes on the knives, scissors, and saws laying down before her. "And what do they think of it? Have you perfected the formula?" She twirled a knife in her hand as she turned around to face him. He gulped his eyes stayed focused on the sharp metal, that she so carelessly tossed around.

"I - I- they have given me everything I ask for. But their goal, is different from yours. They are not asking for a perfect soldier, they are asking for an indistructable one. They do not care if they are mutated and disfigured, they vant a beast that they can control and use for their own bidding." He explained. Talia laid down the knife with a clatter.

"And have you tested this, new found formula?" The Doctor smiled, but it wasn't happy, or proud, it was some how sickening. He tilted his head to follow him. He led her into another wing from the lab. Pushing the .teak doors open revealing a large room of cages. She heard growling, the cages shook rapidly, the once innocent humans were now anything but. She stopped in her tracks turning to look at one. It jumped at her, being held back by the cage. It scratched with its claws, its teeth were long and jagged, ears sharp. But what she stared at most was its eyes, it's dead little eyes.

"And you can control these - these- these things?" She asked almost not believing him. She knew Bruce had a hard time controlling the boys, she imagined these things would be a whole lot harder.

"Ah yes. Vith these!" He picked up a small chip from the protective cabinet. "Ve insert this device, and they are completely under our control vhen ve need them to be." He explained, holding the small chip Inbetween his fingers.

"May i?" She asked holding out her palm, he placed it there with a smile. She studied it for a moment, before asking. "Did you develop a cure for all of this? Or are these people, stuck like this?" She motioned to all of them.
