"And I'll be your doctor until you could stand and walk again."

Awkward Silence.

Ano ba yan. Hindi naman siya pipi diba? Why does she just stares at us?

"A-ahhh, tara Jho? Let's go to your room muna so that you could rest. Bea, anak, we'll just leave you here for a while okay?"

Tita Det pulled me out of Bea's room and brought me to a room next to her daughter's room.

"Pagpasensyahan mo na si Bea, Jhoana ha? She's not used into seeing other people except for us for the long time already."

She said as she opened the door of my room.

"It's fine tita. I know it's really hard for her right now to be in that place. Most patients who suffered leg or bone fractures doesn't recover mentally immediately. And I guess, Bea's condition is the same as the other patients I have handled before."

I said as we sat down on the sofa in my room.

Tita Det sighed heavily and held my hand. "You're right, iha. And I hope this time, ikaw na talaga ang makatulong kay Bea gumaling."

I saw the hope in her eyes, opposite of what I saw on Bea's.

I held her hand back and smiled sincerely at her. "Yes tita, I will do my best to help Bea recover."

She nodded to me then we heard someone knocking on the door.

"Come in." tita Det said.

We saw the maid na nagbukas ng gate sa akin while holding my luggage.

"Ah, Ma'am, eto na nga po pala yung mga gamit ni Doc, iniakyat ko na po. As you requested."

"Oh, salamat Teresa." tita Det said.

"Salamat po." I also said as I get my luggage.

The maid bowed down and smiled at me before she left the room.

"Oh paano iha? I'll just leave you here so that you can take a rest na. Do you want anything? Like foods or coffee or juice?"

Umiling naman ako dito. "Naku wag na po kayo mag-abala Tita, hindi naman po ako nagugutom."

"Sige. Ipapatawag na lang kita kapag dinner na ha." she said then I just nodded before she left me alone in the room.

Binuksan ko ang maleta ko at nagsimulang ilagay sa cabinet ang mga gamit at damit ko. Pagkatapos nun ay tsaka ko lang naramdaman ang jet lag.

"Hayyyy." humiga ako at pumikit para makapag-pahinga naman ako kahit papaano.

"I love you."

I said as I cried my heart out. I felt his shoulder shaking. Nasasaktan talaga siya. Pero nasasaktan din naman ako na hindi kami magkakasama ng matagal dahil sa trabaho ko.

I suddenly felt na humarap siya sa akin at pinunasan ang mga luhang tumutulo sa mga mata ko.

"Sige."

Napa-angat ako ng tingin rito.

"Pumapayag na ako."

I don't know kung anong ire-react ko sa sinabi niya. Pero tumulo na lang ulit ang mga luha ko.

"N-Nico..."

He cupped my face and looked at me straight in my eyes.

"Pumapayag na akong pumunta ka sa US. Basta mangako ka Jho..." I waited for him to continue his statement.
