Calven found himself reflecting on his decision to agree to the marriage. It wasn't because he had grown fond of the person he was about to marry; rather, it was because he wanted to help his father. As he pondered this, he couldn't help but notice his jaw tightening, a physical manifestation of the internal conflict he was experiencing.

Jayson accompanies him as they set out on the task of measuring their attire for the upcoming wedding of him and Marydeth. Jayson, a remarkable individual, had the esteemed honor of being the best man, while Wendy, a truly exceptional woman, held the prestigious role of maid of honor. The two women had recently completed the task of measuring their clothes.

'Good. I have no desire to be in the same place as her!' In a fit of frustration, he raised his voice, expressing his deep disdain for Marydeth and her cunning plans.

"Bro, you're about to get married, but you seem to have passed away," Jayson replied, smiling as if taunting him.

"It's okay if you're in a bad mood—Jay, if you don't want to come out of the boutique without your foot slipping on the floor," Calven muttered irritably to his friend, who just smirked before responding.

"Bro, your blood pressure is excessively high. I'm simply here to bring a smile to your face," Jayson replied, gently scratching his head. The boutique staff, who were exactly their body size, were ignored by them.

Lacking the necessary fortitude to engage in this purported wedding, he finds himself disinclined to embark on the path of marriage at such an early stage in life.

He responded with a lack of enthusiasm, saying, "There is no humor to be found."

Jay chuckled playfully, remarking, "Oh my, it seems we won't be able to purchase anything from there." He let out an exasperated sigh and felt annoyed.

"You do realize I'm being forced into this marriage, don't you?" With a heavy sigh, Calven expressed his disappointment to his friend.

"What's wrong with Marydeth? She possesses both beauty and intelligence, and her wealth adds to her allure." Jayson earnestly explained to Calven what men seek in a woman, as though he were envisioning the woman his friend would soon wed.

"Don't say you don't want to marry her because of your mother." Jay looked into it further, seeking additional information from him. Calven remained silent, heeding the advice of his friend.

Indeed, that is correct. Jayson's words struck him deeply, leading him to develop a preference for playing with women. This preference stemmed from the recent loss of his mother, who had been involved with another man at the time of her passing.

"My friend, that is a matter of the past. It would be advisable for you to proceed forward.
Wait," Jayson stammered. Ceasing his speech, he directed his gaze towards Calven.

"Do you still have feelings for your ex-girlfriend, bro?" Jayson asked, his voice betraying a sudden awareness of Calven's emotions.

'He had me in that moment.' Calven whispered to himself, acknowledging that even now, she remains a constant presence in his heart and mind.

Jayson's head shook because he believes that Calven's ex-girlfriend is unworthy of him because he is aware of his friend's actions.

Calven truly deserves a person of Marydeth's caliber. Calven is unable to perceive it. Marydeth is a woman of admirable qualities, although at times she may express her emotions in a less than kind manner. However, if Jayson were to select a woman for Calven, he would undoubtedly choose Marydeth.

"Calven, you are getting married." Jayson said, "You must learn to love your wife."

Calven firmly responded, "No, I will not love her," causing Jayson to let out a heavy sigh.

When will Calven realize his error and the consequences of his actions?

"Calven, I have some friendly advice for you. Never give a negative response if you didn't truly intend it," Jayson advised him.

Jayson gently patted him on the back as he bid farewell, explaining that he had an important matter to attend to. Calven found himself alone on the stand.

In the midst of it all, Marydeth finds herself shedding silent tears. He will never love me, the woman's mind muttered under the weight of his painful words. She bit her lip, feeling the ache intensify.

Every inch of her body was overcome with a shiver as she absorbed every sound. She and Wendy made their way back, realizing that she had forgotten to add a final touch to her bridal gown at the designer's. However, much to their surprise, they unintentionally stumbled upon a conversation between Calven and Jayson.

'Why do I find myself exerting pressure on him? The reason behind my affection for him is simply because I love him! In the beginning, it was merely a crush, a fleeting infatuation. But as time passed and I matured, something unexpected happened—that crush blossomed into love! Wisdom, though often regarded as a virtue, can sometimes prove to be rather foolish in matters of the heart. You find yourself persisting in your affections for a man who will never reciprocate your love!' She raised her voice, speaking to no one but herself.

Despite everything, she remains unable to halt this madness. Continuation is what she desires. In her heart, she holds the belief that once they exchange vows and become husband and wife, she possesses the power to alter Calven's emotions.

Despite lacking a guardian, she is granted permission by the court to enter into matrimony, despite her being below the legal age. The court is of the opinion that her accomplishments serve as sufficient evidence of her ability to handle any situation.

She quietly murmured to herself, acknowledging that love was the only exception. "MM?" WJ called.

In the car they sat, she lost herself in thought, her car having remained idle for quite some time. Desiring to preserve the anguish, she longed to maintain the ability to gaze upon Calven when they crossed paths once more.

"It's just painful to hear it from him." Tears streamed down her face as she lamented her own foolishness, her hand striking the steering wheel in frustration.

She expresses gratitude for having a friend like Wendy, who consistently offers support regardless of the wildness of her ideas.

Wendy gently shook her head, a gesture of disbelief or disagreement, and then wrapped her arms around the person in a warm embrace.

"No matter what decision you make, it will always be the right one because there are no wrong decisions when they are made for yourself."
