Ava's POV
We had been in Winterfell for a few months now, Sansa hardly spoke to me since our fight last week. Life was pretty quiet if I'm being honest, I had been fitted for my white dress, the wedding was next week. I was nervous, and unsure as to what would unfold. But I knew I was doing the right thing by marrying Ramsay. He couldn't have my sister this way.
Myranda had surprisingly left me alone, but instead she began taunting Sansa, making her stupid threats, trying to intimidate her. She was one brave girl to even look the wrong way at a lady. I stood by my window, looking out. Ramsay was stood in the courtyard talking to his father, Blood saddled up. Where is he going? I wanted to follow him, but I'll never get past the gates, not on my own. Sansa and I were made to stay inside the walls for our own "safety." I was only allowed out when I was with Ramsay, his orders. "Agnes?" She was emptying my bath. "Where is Lord Bolton going?" She gulped and looked away from me. "It's alright, you can tell me."
She came over and began to brush my wet hair. "He's going on a hunt with Myranda, he wanted to leave early so you wouldn't see him. Apologies my lady, I shouldn't have said that." I shook my head. "It's alright Agnes, thank you for being honest with me." I was angry at Ramsay, I was angry at Myranda. After everything she's done, all Ramsay and I spoke about. Why was he sneaking off with her? He's supposed to be on my side. I spent the day with Sansa, but she never said much more than "I told you so." And "He'll always pick her."
**
I awaited his return, by the gates, so the first face they saw when they came through was mine. If he would sneak off with her, then I wanted him to know that I knew. "Open the gates!" Our huge gates opened and they trotted through, I stood in the middle of the courtyard and Ramsay came to a stop. "Hello lover, what are you doing out in the freezing cold? You'll catch a chill, especially in just your dress." He dismounted Blood and wrapped his furs around me. Myranda glared daggers at me as soon as the material landed on my shoulders. "Library, now. I need to talk to you." I said to him and walked away. Looks like our first fight is on its way I thought.
"What is this all about?" He said from behind me. "Where were you all day Ramsay?" I questioned him, turning around to face him. "I was on a hunt. And that's all you need to know." My eyes narrowed with suspicion, I didn't believe him. "Why did you take Myranda? Just the two of you alone in the woods, no witnesses, nobody but the hounds to disturb you, but they wouldn't come back until you whistled. What were you doing Ramsay?" He rolled his eyes, he was tired. But I didn't care. I didn't want to marry an unfaithful man, like I had a choice.
"I don't have to explain myself to you Avalynn. You're going to marry me and you're going to act courteous, not lik-" I cut him off, I had enough. "If I'm going to be your wife then you better listen to me. I'm not going to be the person that waits around for you to come home all day, looking after the children while you're out fucking the town whores. If that's the way it's going to be, I won't marry you." His eye twitched. "You have no choice but to marry me. You are mine. Petyr Baelish made that pretty obvious when he sold you to my father, like a slave."
I was sold? Nobody told me that. It was humiliating. I wasn't even here because Petyr saved me out of the goodness of his heart, or because Ramsay wanted me, I was here because the Bolton's owned me. "I won't marry you if you're sleeping with her. You can't force me." Ramsay was really annoyed. His eyes were burning into me. I knew I had upset him. But I couldn't stop myself. The words kept coming out. "Are you jealous Ava? Because I hate jealousy." He threatened, taking a step closer to me.
"I'm not jealous, I just won't be made a fool by a bastard in my own home." He lunged forward and grabbed me by the throat, pushing back towards the wall. I could feel my heart in my stomach, his eyes filled with rage. "I'm not a bastard anymore. I am Ramsay Bolton of Winterfell." He squeezed tighter and I clawed at his arms, trying to release his grip. He was so strong compared to me, he could kill me with his bare hands. Terror coursed through body and I could feel myself getting light headed. He let my throat go, but he immediately grabbed my shoulders and slammed me into the wall. I cried out in pain. "If you're smart Ava, you'll will keep your mouth shut."
