It was late afternoon, the beautiful sunset was visible from afar. Jennie and Lisa were both in their favourite café, sitting opposite each other in their usual booth.

There was an unusual silence that floated around them, they both couldn't deny it.

Jennie looked up from her drink, she smiled to herself as she watched the person she loved most, quietly admiring the sunset.

Once again, she was reminded why she fell in love with Lisa. Even though Lisa had her flaws, Jennie overlooked them and could only see what she fell in love with. She was kind hearted, beautiful, smart and above all, Lisa had a pure soul. She was perfect in Jennie's opinion and it was evident from the twinkling in her eyes.

Jennie grabbed Lisa's hands that was clutched onto her warm drink, Lisa diverted her attention to Jennie and displayed a smile that Jennie adored.

They were both facing each other, hands intertwined tightly.

Jennie watched Lisa's gaze divert to their intertwined hands and noticed how Lisa's smile dulled and suddenly seemed force.

"Lisa, are you okay?", Jennie asked, squeezing her hand.

Jennie suddenly felt worried, waiting in anticipation for Lisa's response. She felt uneasy.

"Nini, w- we shouldn't continue this", Lisa whispered quietly, but loud enough for Jennie to hear.

Jennie suddenly forgot how to breathe, she instantaneously felt like she was being punched repeatedly, but in the chest. The words hit her hard, like a truck hitting a wall, so strong yet it crumbled slowly, piece by piece.

Breathe In

And Out

In

And Out

"W-What?", Jennie let go of Lisa's hands, the feeling of warmth suddenly gone.

Piece by piece it fell

Jennie watched as Lisa faced away, tears building up. As, Jennie stared at Lisa, all their unforgettable memories flew back to her mind. Their happy moments together, cuddles, kisses, stares and affectionate words.

But, all of it felt bitter and a panic started building, she forced herself to keep it together and not make a scene.

What will I do now?

Without her in my life?

I thought we were happy?

Why all of this suddenly?

"We shouldn't continue this", Lisa repeated once again, slowly but clearly, facing Jennie.

Piece by piece it fell

They both stared at each, taking it all in. They both felt the warmth, all of a sudden had disappeared.

The warmth of their love

Lisa examined Jennie's expression. Pain and confusion displayed. A pain that she had promised not to cause.

Piece by piece it fell

"W-What Lisa?", Jennie questioned. The pain building up inside her.

The realisation that there will be no more days when she would wake up to Lisa's sleeping face displayed in front her

The realisation that she won't be wrapped in Lisa's comforting arms

The realisation that she won't experience Lisa's soft kisses daily

The realisation that she won't hear Lisa's sweet words whispered in her ear

The realisation that Lisa won't be with her everyday

The realisation that she won't be with the person she thought she would be complete with

The realisation that it all just ended, right in the moment

"What we have Jennie", Lisa responded, an indescribable expression on her face. Jennie felt like she had been punched harder

"But, I love you Lisa! I don't want it to be over", Jennie let out, the precious words slipping out of her mouth.

"But, it already is Jennie"

All the pieces had fallen, the masterpiece destroyed. Irreversible, can't be fixed

The realisation that it's all over

The realisation that her love had faded
