"Hey, Jess. Are you going out again tonight?" Jack asks me

"Yeah last night Jonah told me the wrong time and he was late so we're trying again tonight"

"Oh good. If you need saving just text me and I'll save you"

"I'll remember that" I laugh and he leaves the room

I quickly change my outfit when there's a knock at the door

I walk downstairs and see that Isla opened the door

"Hey don't open doors for strangers," I tell her

"But he's cute" she pouts and I roll my eyes

"Go away"

She walks away and I look up seeing it's Jonah

"looks like everyone wants a piece of me" he jokingly says

"can I throw mine away"

"ouch I might have to leave you here and take your sister to eat instead"

"do it you won't"

"you're right I won't now let's go" he smirks and I blush as he takes my hand

we walk out of my house and I see we're riding on his motorcycle

"um, what is this?" I ask

"I don't drive and this is my mode of transportation so hop on"

"Okay then" I sit behind him and he hands me a helmet

once I put it on he wraps my arms around his back

"hold on tight it's going to be a ride"

I laugh and he starts the engine

"Woah," I say as he zooms out of my neighborhood

this is so nice and freeing

for once I feel like no one else matters not even jonah

I don't care that he doesn't like me all that much all I needed was tonight

we quickly get on to the highway and I get very scared

I hide in jonah's back and I hear him laugh

"relax we're almost there"

"and here we are," jonah says a few minutes later

I hop off his bike and we walk into the restaurant

"This looks fancy," I say fixing my hair

"maybe it is"

"what do you mean"

"oh nothing don't worry" he smirks and I can't help but worry
