5 jealousy

It was nighttime and hyakkimaru laid in my lap covering his ears.
And I just sat on my knees stiff and embarrassed...I mean..a cute guy is clinging onto me..how are you supposed to act in this situation. Although he's in pain..so I'm feeling quite sad.
I brought my hand up and rubbed his hair..it's..real? It's so soft too.
He turned his face into my lap and I instantly stopped..
Dororo came over and said.

" bro! Bro!"

And shook him.
He freaked out a bit and tossed in my lap.
He hugged my waist and used his arms to cover his ears.
I shook my hands and whispered.

" shhh...dororo.."

Dororo covered his mouth and said.

" oh..still to noisy for you, huh.."

I sighed and fought the urge to not pass out from embarrassment..
Dororo looked around for a bit but then had an idea.
He pulled out a cloth and I smiled.
I tapped hyakkimarus shoulder.
That made him look up.
I tried to get him up but he wouldn't let go of me..

" h-hey...h-hyakkimaru.."

He shook his head and went back down.
I sighed and dororo gave me the cloth.
I thanked him and tied it around hyakkimaru.
Hyakkimaru finally sat up.
I was still blushing and dororo said.

" maybe we should give up on going to the next monster..I don't think he's ready for something like that yet.."

I nodded and looked at hyakkimaru and smiled.
He looked extremely adorable in that headband.
I'm also happy that it's helping him..
I sighed and stood up.
But stopped when hyakkimaru looked to the left.

" huh? What's wrong did you he-"

Then a huge bird came through.
I quickly fell to the ground covering my mouth so I don't let out a scream.
The bird kept coming back and attacked hyakkimaru.
It showed that he was focusing to much on the sound.

" hyakkimaru forget about the sound!"

I said and went over to dororo.
But still hyakkimaru was losing.
He fell to the ground and without thinking I ran over to him.

" omg I'm such an idiot! But I won't let you die!"

I hugged hyakkimaru from behind and covered him with my body.

" bro! Sis!"

Then all a sudden I heard a sword and the monster was dead.
I was now shaking uncontrollably and turned to see the priest..

" o-o-oh hey.."

I then passed out.

I then jolted awake and realized I was next to a fire.
I heard a familiar laugh and tuned to see the priest and dororo with hyakkimaru.

" oh..sorry about that.."

I stood up and saw that hyakkimaru looked up at me still covering his ears.
I noticed he was banged up pretty bad.
I went on my knees Inspecting his wounds.
But of course when I went over he instantly hugged me again like before.
I blushed and said.
