Chapter 7-Awkward dinner

Alison's POV

OMG!!!Chase Hunter is my neighbor and he never told,no wonder he could give me a ride to school. He didn't even bother telling me this vital information,imagine when Emily finds out.

I shot him daggers and he guiltily smiled.He had a lot of explanations to do.

"Alison Melissa Cummings where are your manners,stop drooling over the guy would you,and come and greet" my mom broke my train of thought and I immediately realized what she said.

"I was not mom" I whined and I could hear Chase chuckling,I never dared looking at him after that embarrassment.I trotted off to Chase's mom and held out my hand.

"Hello,I'm Alison it's a pleasure to meet you" I curtly greeted but she never took my hand and pulled me into a hug. "The pleasure is all mine dear,I never knew Chase had a girlfriend" she replied and I froze in my place.

I was about to reply but Chase beat me to it. "No no,mom you have the wrong idea.I came over because we are Science partners and we worked on our project" he replied to his mom.

She let go of me and walked over to him and pinched his cheek "Awww sweety,no need to be ashamed,she is very beautiful."

I blushed and chuckled at Chase's discomfort.Mrs Hunter walked into the kitchen with my mom to get things ready for dinner.I walked over to Chase and tickled the little girl attached to Chase's side.

"And who is this little cutie?" I asked while tickling her.

"This is Rose,my cousin" Chase stated and smiled at the girl. Gosh i'll never get over that dimple  of his.

"Hello Rose,you want to go upstairs and play with my dolls" I asked with a smile.

"Yes,yes Chasey let's go" she giggled and smiled.

I led them up to my room and handed her the toys.We pretended that one of the dolls were getting married but she ended up running away because her groom wouldn't cry for her.

Chase's POV

I watched as Alison and Rose played with the dolls.I felt sorry for Rose,my aunt had passed away due to cancer.My mom decided to adopt Rose as her father is a drunken asshole with no heart.She's like a little sister to me and I will do anything for this adorable angel.

My mom just made dinner awkward with the whole girlfriend thing,it was like damn take about being under the spotlight. Ashton would've had a blast with that one.But i can't let her get too close, she can't be sucked into my darkness.

"Dinner is ready" Marian called from downstairs and we descended the stairs.We sat down at a table,my mom sitting across from me and Alison's mom next to her across from Alison who is sitting next to me and on my other side Rose is seated.

"I definitely ship" my mom had to speak up "Agreed" Marian replied.

Just then the front door opened...
