A Question

"I just don't understand why you're so scared." Plagg took a bite of his Camembert.

"You've obviously never experienced something like this before then." Adrien shifted a piece of the hair that fell in his face to the side. 

After several years of dating Marinette he felt like it would be good to take their relationship to the next level. Not to mention all of the years he had been saving the city with Ladybug. Marinette was always his partner, it also just happen to be that she was also his crime fighting partner. His blond hair was now shorter then it was the previous years. He wasn't really sure what he would do after high school but with Marinette in his life, he helped her parents at the family bakery. He had learned a few recipes from his girlfriend teaching him early into their relationship.

The pair owned a small apartment together, Marinette was busy with her fashion designing, she was doing rather well at too. Even after high school Alya and Nino kept in touch, Nino made a bet with Adrien as to who would propose to their girlfriends first, Adrien would probably win that bet first. Ever since they first meant he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and... marriage was the next step. On his day off from the bakery, Adrien has asked specifically to meet with Tom and Sabine at a local cafe to ask a very important question.

The blond tapped the table with his fingers anxiously waiting for the pair.

"Maybe they won't show up, maybe this was a bad idea." He started to panic.

"Would you just relax," his kwami said from his jacket pocket. "You were like this before when you first asked them if you could be her boyfriend, you're worrying about nothing." 

"You're right, you're right." He told himself.

Moments later, Tom and Sabine sat in the seats across from him.

"Sorry to keep you wanting Adrien." Sabine apologized.

"The traffic was horrible." Tom added.

"No worries." He told them giving a hand gesture. "I appreciate you two coming."

The way he shifted his body told them both that he was nervous.

"Adrien dear there's no need to be nervous." Sabine said. 

"Right." He took a deep breath. "I was wondering if... I could have... permission..." he scratched the back of his neck, a habit he had obtained due to nerves.

"Permission?" Tom asked wanting him to elaborate.

"To... marry your... daughter." He slumped back in his chair.

Sabine covered her mouth in shock, then came her tears of happiness. 

"Hunnie now lets not get too emotional, save it for the Wedding day." Tom put a comforting hand around his wife. "You have my permission son." He looked approvingly to Adrien.

"I can't think of anyone more perfect to marry my daughter." The woman had tears in her eyes.

Adrien chuckled, "Heheh, thank you."

Adrien was alerted to looking out the large window after hearing a noise outside, an akuma. 

"Why don't you go handle that." Sabine said quietly as she touched Adrien's hand, grabbing his attention.

He gave a light nod as he got up from his chair and went to the bathroom. After all the years that Marinette  and Adrien had been together, there was bound to be a slip-up. About 2 years into their relationship Tom and Sabine had found out about the couple's alter-egos, they were shocked at first but understood that they were chosen to protect Paris. It actually made the relationship they had with each other closer in a way.
