Chapter 17

Emily's POV

"The complete building will be done in around a week, maybe a couple of days more."

"Thank you David. And the estimated costs?" I ask,

"Maybe 10." I almost die,

"Ten million, that might be a problem, we could pay it, but we'd be living off our wolves for a while, could it be any less?"

"Sorry Alpha, I said 10 as in ten grand. With all our connections it cut costs down almost completely, the electronics is our main issue, and the rooftop aswell." He says, I sigh in relief,

"Thank god, I can do ten grand no problem. Remember not to tell anyone about the plans."

"Yes Alpha. I'll get to work right away, enjoy your day at school."

"Thanks David, I will." I reply walking out the door, I hear whispering as I walk down through the camp that we set up this morning, it'll save us the effort tonight when we need a bed to sleep in. I walk into my tent to find Jas and Abby sitting on the bed they notice me almost straight away and go silent, I eye them curiously,

"What?" I ask, nothing.

"Don't make me go all Alpha on your ass." Jasmine gives me a daring smile which disappears when Abby spills,

"We made a deal with Lola."

"Abby, it's more fun when you resist." Jas complains,

"What kind of deal?" I swear I'm the only adult in this place.

"Lola is doing something for us." Abby spills, Jasmine sits there annoyance obvious on her face,

"What?" I ask,

"She's making up something about Bitch-face." Jas says proudly,

"What is she getting in return?" I ask,

"A tour and a history lesson." She simply states. I raise my brow,

"She saw the Kyle thing and wants an explanation." Abby says,

"Okay, tell her she can have an explanation if she doesn't spread the rumour." Jasmine starts to object, but I gave her a look that says 'don't even try, I'm not in the mood.' and she shuts up. It's six in the morning and we've been awake for at least two hours, so I am really fucking tired.

Jasmine's POV

'She's such a party pooper.'

'Jas, you should listen to her.'

'I don't wanna.' I whine to Lupus,

'Do it.'

'No.'

'Yes.'

'No.'

'Yes.'

'Yes.'

'No.'

'Ha, tricked you.'

'Emily is right, she is the only adult around here.'

'When did she sad that?' I ask,

"Jas, time to go!" Emily yells from outside,

'Tell her not to spread the rumour or else.' Lupus threatens.

'Fine.' I give in and start to walk to the car. Abby is going with Jessie, who I still haven't met, and I'm going with Emily. I climb into the passenger seat of Emily's car and wait for her to get in.
"Are you ready to leave?" She asks when she climbs in,
"Yep." She smiles at me at drives off in the direction of the school. When we arrive I'm greeted by Abby and a massive guy, when I say massive I mean tall and muscly,
"Jas, this is Jessie." She says,
"Nice to finally meet you." I say as I shake his hand and he bows his head slightly as he says,
"You too, Luna."
"Seriously, what is with everyone, call me Jas or Jasmine or whatever, just not Luna." He nods and grabs Abby's hand.
"Em, I'll be back. I've got to go find Lola."
"I'll come with you." She says, I smile and grab her hand and smell the air for Lola, tracking her down I find her at the girl change rooms near the football field.
"Lola, what's up?" I say, she looks up,
"Ew, you can't talk to me at school, that's gross." She says, Emily growls at her accidentally and Lola instantly shits herself, not in literal sense, but she's scared.
"Why is she here? And why is she growling?" She asks scared,
"She's my mate, she's a 'dog' and you can't spread the rumour." I say,
"What the hell are you talking about, and I can't take back my end of the deal, I don't do that."
"Lola, this isn't one of your filthy back alley deals that you make with creepy fifty year olds, this is serious, if you spread it I can get into a heap of trouble."
"And I care because?" she says,
"You care because your life is the payment for the rumour. You spread it, you die." Emily says,
"Okay, I won't do it, but you still owe me an explanation." I nod at her and walk away.

"We have to go." Emily says,
"I have to wait for Lola, unless you want the whole school to know about werewolves we have to wait." She groans and leans up against her car. Lola walks out of the school building looking around for anyone she knows, when she doesn't see anyone she runs over to us,
"Finally, was it really necessary to wait an hour?" Emily asks frustrated,
"Yes it was, if I was seen with you guys my reputation would be ruined." Emily rolls her eyes and goes to get in the car,
"I'll meet you at home, okay?" she says, I nod and go to walk away,
"Wait, where are you going?" Lola asks,
"We all can't fit in Emily's car, I can't drive so you're going with Emily and I'm running, I'll beat you guys there anyway." I explain,
"No, you can run along side the car, if she tries to kill me I don't want to be alone." I groan, I'll be running so slow if I have to run with the car,
"Just do it, Jas." Emily says,
"Fine, I'll meet you on the road." I say and run off to the trees to shift, once I change I run out to the road and wait for Emily's car to pass. I start to walk along side the car when I here Lola yelling and hear the doors lock.
"Let me out! Your both going to eat me! What the hell are you?"
'Jas, is everything okay?' Ben asks in the link,
'Yeah, Lola's being dramatic, we'll be home in a few minutes, tell the pack to avoid shifting this afternoon and that there's a human coming to the camp.'
'Alright, see you soon.' He says, I speed up to a jog to keep up with the car. Emily speeds up again to shorten the trip, Lola keeps on screaming and yelling. We pull up the drive and to the camp, I shift into human form and let Lola out of the car and grab her, I pass her to Emily who covers her mouth to stop grabbing the attention of the whole pack. I see an ugly old man storming up to me, I feel a stinging on my cheek and before I realise what happened Riley's dad, Paul, is on the ground with Emily on top of him growling in his face.
